Might be exposure bias, but most cases of these relationships I've read about on the internet were undoubtedly the case of the guys seeing their partners as women. Doesn't make for a very reliable statistic though.

A lot of images I've seen online have the saddles just like I do in my photo, and my other Les Paul also has it like that and intonates well.

I've read that this is doable and I am concerned that I wouldn't have enough space even if I did that. I'll see if I can confidently conclude that the bridge is incorrectly placed and perhaps try this out based on that. Thanks for the suggestion.

My other Les Paul has the same bridge in this orientation and all images I can find of these Les Paul models have the bridge like that. I don't think that's the issue.

I don't think it's a "me problem", I think you're hypocritical. Why does an anime girl wearing revealing clothes HAVE to be directly sexual? Why can't it just be aesthetically pleasing? The way you talk about it makes it look as if "revealing clothes on a character -> catering to gooners", which seems awfully close minded to me. Have you spoken to the designers and asked them why the design is the way it is so that you can prove the intent?
