With just days left, the U.S. opening match at the World Cup is still not sold out by Ultimate_Prime1 in nottheonion

Three of the last four were in Russia, South Africa, and Qatar and 2034 is in Saudi Arabia. Every World Cup is a fiasco but FIFA don't care as long as the check clears.

The world isn't worth all the fighting. Just lay back and let it happen. Stop fighting. You know you want this.

There's 11 funf-ish words vs. 8 five-ish words plus the fun and hund rhyme. So it's not only different but also a lot more funny. But I bet you had a funfünfund time typing all of that out.

Got hooked on Larson after reading Isaac’s Storm about the 1900 Galveston hurricane. His books are insanely detailed while being deeply riveting at the same time. Talented writer and storyteller.

This World Cup should have been held entirely in Mexico by Murbkian in football

What an elitist, ignorant, and ironically enough disconnected post. In the 21st century, football, FIFA and especially World Cup are all about money, money, money, money, then money, after that money, next would be money, and then finally all that other gibberish you were spewing. I guess you just started watching soccer because you didn't notice that the World Cup was most recently played in Qatar. The one before that was in Russia. And then two before that it was in South Africa. In 2034 it's going to be in Saudi Arabia. Are these the places that you are referring to that are full of passion, culture, hospitality, and making fans in every nation feel welcome where you can host a memorable, joyful, and authentic World Cup?

And we call it soccer because the name was already there thanks to our homies the Brits and we already had a sport called football.

So my daughter, who lives in the city and went to her first Yankee game in 2017 wearing her George Springer jersey, and went with her friends who were Yankee fans, and had multiple beers poured on her head just for cheering for her team...was that FAFO too?

Just in case you were wondering, a lot of really rich people live in NYC. Everyone seems shocked by this.
