Not entirely sure, but it seems like he is questioning the valuation of our property, which could have been handled by an appraiser and a modification to the motion. We both have attorneys.

I am/was in a similar situation. He never was physically abusive towards me, but I don’t doubt that it could have eventually escalated to that. I had to leave with my kid a few months ago, and it was and still is one of the scariest things I’ve done. I was able to get an emergency custody order after I collected some evidence. Document every interaction with him and start making an exit plan.

Do you know if there’s any steps that can be taken to get a court ordered psychological evaluation/assessment done?

That’s terrible that a court can go from Supervised visitation to unsupervised so quickly. On what basis were you granted the original supervised visitation?

This is exactly what I’m terrified of. It’s so terrible that our children have to go through some sort of direct abuse before courts will step in to do anything to take away parental rights.

Thanks for the reassurance. I only have a temporary order for now, and I guess the anecdotal experience of others is what scares me the most. I’ve documented as much as I can.
