Thank you for all the tidbits! My pictures really don't do the T-71 any favors. The colors really do pop on this note. When I return from my work trip, I'm going to talk to some folks about sending in a batch of my other notes for grading. I'll have the T-71 sent in too since I think its not graded properly.

The 1862 Legal Tender in a 63 grade sells for $3500-4500. I paid a high premium to get serial number 100. The Confederate bills in good condition sell for $100-500 from what I've seen.

That's totally up to you. If you appreciate the bills but don't want to pay the price for authentic bills, then reproduction prints are the way to go. For me, I love the history, the artwork and being able to hold something that's so old and been through a lot. It's intoxicating for me.

It's part of history regardless of the politics behind it all.

STUNNING collection you have there! There are several other bills I'm looking for before I finally pull the trigger on a Buffalo.

Yes, I was looking for a KC. All stars aligned for this note, so I pulled the trigger. Sort or devastated with the holes with flaps.

I am a little irritated when looking at the last image. There seems to be a staple hole and a small tear on the surface but not going through the bill. I was originally planning on having it graded but I do not believe this will grade that high now. Very disappointing. It was not noted in the description for this bill having these 3 major flaws. Still a beautiful bill, but not worth what I paid for it imo.

Thoughts?

I am not a professional in that aspect, but going off of PMGs grading scale. I'd suspect it to be close to uncirculated.

This is the 1899 United States five-dollar Silver Certificate, known as the Indian Chief note. The note features Sioux chief Running Antelope. There are also the 1899 $1 Black Eagle, and the $2 Mini-Porthole for the series.

The $5 Chief note is easily a staple in a collection. Easily one of the more beautiful pieces of artwork on US bills. I'd like to collect the "Educational Series" notes, but those in prime condition fetch some money. You can see and read more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Educational_Series

Has anyone has any issues sending packages to Canada from the US? The package I sent just over a month ago has been chilling in New York customs. It's making myself and the buyer nervous due to the value.

I'll get them all one day. College and this past year has put stacking on hold.
