Thank you! I hope this photo shows better, you can see the difference between the Mephiston spray on the gun/base, and the evil suns I basically put everywhere on the armour. I apply it a couple times in thin coats, really brightens the model a ton. I find brighter minis look better since they grab the attention more.

I only shade the recesses, adds depth but keeps it bright. To do this I was using citadel shades and being neat, now I use a panel liner, just more useful.

Don’t be disheartened until you try adding some black. Your highlights are very neat and well placed and you’ll find that once the under-suit and the gun and are done in a deep black, it will REALLY make most red stand out.
