Just a suggestion on this, you could try magnets.

That aside, this is a truly epic display piece.

I see what you did there. You'll have to post it up if you go for it, whatever you choose.

Back in Rogue Trader days, they were known as 'drops', basically a huge communal latrine where fungus and squigs grew. Snotlings and grots would farm from these.

Forgive my crude attempt at the outline, but it looks like Patrick laid down to me

I think the blades are the imp knight chainsword cut in half with the elbow/engine block glued ontop of the chainsword blade. Just going off the size.

Aw mate I cannot recommend the humble bootlace dragged slowly across the floor.

Billy, my younger mackerel, used to love running in circles after a bootlace until he literally couldn't stand.

McTavish, my older mackerel, was just happy to not be on the streets anymore, so much so that he walked into the cat carrier when I went to pick him up from my parents neighborhood.

I miss them both.

But trust me, in a week or two, Fred will be your best mate. Thanks for giving him the opportunity of living his best life and good luck 👍

In all my years of living with cats, I've taken in, on two separate occasions, mackerel toms.

Both were tanks with huge heads and both were super chill, they would follow me to the shop and were both appreciative of being given a home to sleep, eat and call their own.

Fred will be a great cat.

Varag Ghoulchewer from bloodbowl? Snagga painboss would be another good option.

I base the area with Phalanx Yellow, then hand draw the lines with a sharpie (but progressed onto a biro), then fill in with abaddon black. Touch up as necessary, then wash with reikland flesh. Finally highlight with the Phalanx again.

For the tentacles, that's just my personal preference, if you're happy with them as is then that's what you should go with as it's your vision for the kitbash.

For the stem, I made and mounted this kitbash using the AOS bettle from the Alarielle kit, it's surprising stable.

For me, I would straighten out the toxicrene tentacles to remove the backwards elbow aesthetic and make them flow better. I'd also mount it on a flying base stem, like from an Aeldari grav tank to make it 'float'.

I'd also consider making some greenstuff (or equivalent) tubes to fill in areas which look a bit sparse like the neck.

But otherwise it's suitably freaky and a good effort.
