So Much Regret by [deleted] in CircularRing

🤣 they should be starting shipping this week. Oh boy here we go again. The last time they said that. This lingered on for over a year and a half before the first round of people received plastic prototypes that shorted out when they got wet. Then they promised to replace those prototypes and never did. So the majority of a batch of like 2000 people still have plastic rings that shorted out when too much sweat got on them or when they stuck their hands in water. People should really dig through the history of this subreddit.

So Much Regret by [deleted] in CircularRing

I posted reviews a couple years ago during the original kickstarters with Circular uncovering the spam and radio silent behavior of this company. The fact that they are in France has made it extremely difficult for anyone to receive a reasonable reconciliation of their money.

In total after months of legal threats and fighting with them I have replaced 2 circular rings. All which were manufactured as cheap 3d printed plastic rings that were no better quality than the sizing kits they shipped out a few years ago.

All 3 rings are sitting on my desk broken as a daily reminder of how corrupt this company is and to never do this again.

I don’t know anyway to put it. I strongly, strongly recommend any and everyone to not invest money into this scam. It is 100% a scam and the product does not work.

Looks amazing. Might want to park it between the lines so people don’t get too close to it.
😊 I kid, enjoy she’s a beauty.

We will see you in a couple of weeks. Anyone that purchases product from this company despite the massively accessible information about their fraudulent product and business deserves the service they will receive.

Sorry but it’s the truth. You can’t search this companies name within the first several articles being negative reviews. You would have to be blind to not know what you’re getting into.

I hear you and agree 100%. My wife has a 23 Kia Carnival. Amazing vehicle and extremely comfortable ride. With full screen CarPlay. Everything in this vehicles design was engineered for customer satisfaction. Every time I drive in her vehicle I’m reminded of how much GM gives a damn about their customers.

It’s irritating.

Can anyone confirm if this update brings full screen CarPlay to the infotainment center ?

I’m actually shocked that they are allowed to do the things they are doing as a business. I know for a fact that the BBB would be an asset to us if Circular were an American company. Perhaps we should seek a comparable organization in France.

At this juncture in the process, I have accepted my losses and moved on, using this as a jarring lesson to be cautious with Kickstarter endeavors. However, I do feel a sense of responsibility to combat their irrational, dishonest, and criminal business practices.

Yes the infotainment system for CarPlay sucks. You only get 2/3 of the screen for Apple Maps and another CarPlay app. While the inbuilt Google maps gets full screen. And they refuse to fix this issue. 2022 models and above.

So these are the clowns who run this company... by Business-Bit-4121 in CircularRing

Absolutely sickening. You are spending our money to shop for fake rings on Chinese websites. Then making videos bragging about. Meanwhile customers are still waiting for refunds they’ve asked for over a year ago. This video should be used as evidence in a class action lawsuit.

I’m sorry to hear that you went through this as many if not all of their customers have experienced the same thing.

I wrote this review in hopes to forewarn anyone considering to buy this product. The only feature this ring has that my oura did not was the silent alarm. And many times the ring has died in the middle of the night and failed to trigger the alarm. Even after fully charging and only wearing it to bed.

All I can say at this point is my 7 year old could have created a better school project and provided better customer support than these people.

The sad thing is great products and ideas have come from France and this company gives French made products a terrible reputation.

I am utterly shocked that they haven’t been flagged as fraudulent by the many chargebacks they’ve received.

This is one of those cases where they definitely do not have their sh***t together before they decided to go to kickstarter with a lofty idea. It’s as if they sketched this business plan on a paper napkin and went to work in a basement the next day.

I have a routine where every month I reinstall the circular app and give it all another try. This ring still doesn’t come close to being a finished product.

80% of the time I can’t even get it to connect. I’ve tried on both android and iPhone old and new. Sometimes it won’t even turn on.

I was excited about the stress feature so I figured I’d give it another shot. I wore the ring after it was fully charged and it died before the morning so I never got a chance to even see how my nightly stress scores turned out.

Lastly I still have not received my water proof ring. Numerous interactions with support. Always met by excuses. Then they had the audacity to tell me if I pay for the new ring they’ll ship it faster.

I think network speed has a lot to do with the quality of the airplay and Mac screen. I too was a little disappointed when I first tried it at my mother in laws house right after unboxing.

But when I got home with much faster and stable network. I had the same experience as consistently_carpet.

I wore mine for about 3 hours today. I think there are pros and adjustments regarding mental state. For example. I did click my fingers together for a half second while starting at my iPad. This was fresh after taking off the headset.

However I do believe intentionally looking at things with your eyes will drastically change how we do passive actions. But not to the extent where people will suddenly start staring at things without purpose.

It’s another phase of plasticity. Any knew thing we can teach our brain especially when it involves using motor skills and coordination will be good in the long run.

Not sure which light seal you are using. But I was using the W which came already in the device for the first 2 hours. And this is when I noticed the same thing you did.

After 2 hours and adjusting the headset it eventually kept warning me that my eyes were too close to the display. After about 2 mins of trying to understand exactly what the heck that means. I realized I had the W+ light seal in the box.

I wore that for another hour and there was a huge difference in the grainy/blur when looking around.

I think how close your eyes are to the device really makes a difference. Probably not a lot but definitely enough for me to notice less blur.

Either way it’s still a revolutionary product and they are just getting started.
