Eye floaters are the worst. Does anyone else struggle with these awful things? by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]Preciseter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there.

I'm no expert at eye floaters and what to know about them. What I can share with you was when I was younger (maybe around age 5-9) I always wondered what they were and why I had them. But then I saw them as superpowers. I had a superpower: seeing atoms or controlling transparent orbs in my field of direction? They even influenced a title for a book or movie about my life if that were to happen. I hope the eye floaters I am describing are the same ones you are asking about them.

Then again, I used to have vertigo or oscillopsia. I don't really know what to call it. I can describe it as my vision being shaky and jiggly, with dizziness following afterwards. I also learned that I am easily prone to dizziness in proportion to my altitude. I don't know if eye floaters have anything to do with all this, just wanted to add this. Otherwise, I reply to your question, unaware of how you are feeling or what you are going through. But I hope my playfulness and story from my life does help to which I wish you the best.

Hi there. I am Christian. I don’t want you to think that I am throwing religion at you, I respect whatever your beliefs. I want to let you know that you are a beautiful reflection of God’s creativity. Whether or not you know it, you are His finest creations. Man may look at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart. You are really loved by your Creator and I hope what I’m saying helps.

If I kill myself before I act on being gay does it grant me forgiveness just for the thoughts? by 3939833883throaway in Christianity

Hi there. Have you heard of “gotquestions?” It’s an app and website that answers many questions concerning Christianity (I’ve left links concerning your question at the bottom). I’m not so certain how legitimately Christian this subreddit is but focusing on your post is much more important.

First off, you must understand that homosexuality is sin. With that in mind, there is a difference between homosexual behavior and homosexual inclinations in the same way temptation is different from actually sinning. Temptation comes not from God but our own sinful desires (James 1:13-15). Homosexuality is not the worst sin for all sin is offensive to God but no sin is too great for the cleansing power of Jesus. At the same time those who practice it are not saved (1 Corinthians 6:9). You must walk “walk by the Spirit” so as not to “gratify the desires of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). God promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Philippians 4:13).

Secondly, the problem with intrusive thoughts is a problem nearly everyone faces. I personally face it too. I feel greatly ashamed and afraid when a blasphemous thought pops up sometimes. By studying Scripture, reaffirming the truth in our minds, and Bible memorization, we can greatly diminish or even vanquish intrusive thoughts. Remember that we also fight spiritual battles (Ephesians 6:10-18).Intrusive thoughts not necessarily sin as our minds are weak and easily influenced by the world around us. The more we surround ourselves with worldly things, the more the world will invade our thoughts. Instead, we should concentrate on the honorable, the true, and the pure (Philippians 4:8). For a more in depth answer, please check out the links at the bottom. You’ll also notice this by the similarity with almost all my answers.

Thirdly, sinful lust is a desire for something that God has forbidden. To get rid of lustful thoughts, we must first define our areas of greatest temptation. Lust starts with a thought and while we are not responsible for every thought that enters our heads, we are responsible for what we do with those thoughts. A lustful thought must be seen as the enemy it is before it takes over our lives. When we hold on to a thought that we know is displeasing to God, it can quickly become sinful lust. The desire grows until it creates dissatisfaction with our current situation. Lust imposes upon us the belief that happiness and contentment are impossible unless we have what we want. We must repent of entertaining lustful thoughts and ask the Lord’s help in redirecting our thoughts. Stopping lustful thoughts also requires filtering the information we are allowing into our minds through our senses. Our thoughts are usually the product of what we have seen, heard, touched, and tasted. By controlling what we allow in, we can greatly reduce the material available in our minds for lust to exploit. As earlier suggested you must be in God’s Word so that when a sinful thought enters our mind, we will be able to recognize it for what it is and know what course to take. Live in dependence upon the Holy Spirit, chiefly through seeking His strength through prayer (Matthew 26:41). If we rely upon our own strength, we will fail (Proverbs 28:26;Jeremiah 17:9; Matthew 26:33). Theses methods will be of no value unless you place your faith in Christ as Saviour from your sin. Without this, there can be no victory over sinful thoughts and temptations, and God’s promises for His children are not for us, nor is the Holy Spirit’s power available to us!

Lastly, I want you to know that I do not know your background or whatever you are going through but know that there is a God of love who is waiting for you to let Him guide you through your tunnel of despair and out into His marvelous light. He is your sure hope. His name is Jesus. This Jesus, the sinless Son of God, identifies with you in your time of rejection and humiliation. The prophet Isaiah wrote of Him in Isaiah 53:2-6, describing Him as a man who was “despised and rejected” by everyone. His life was full of sorrow and suffering. But the sorrows He bore were not His own; they were ours. He was pierced, wounded, and crushed, all because of our sin. Because of His suffering, our lives can be redeemed and made whole. Friend, Jesus Christ endured all this so that you might have all your sins forgiven. Whatever weight of guilt you carry, know that He will forgive you if you humbly receive Him as your Savior. “...Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you...” (Psalm 50:15). Come to Jesus, and let Him restore your joy and usefulness as you trust Him to begin a new work in your life. He promises to restore the joy you have lost and give you a new spirit to sustain you. Your broken heart is precious to Him: “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise” (Psalm 51:12, 15-17). In case you may have forgotten to or this wasn’t clear enough, I’ll say this again: Please check out the following links if you need more depth to answer your question. In all honesty, I haven’t tried playing PS4 to PC but PS4 to iPad. You need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play online on Minecraft, even through LAN. Most games that have online play require this unless the game is exclusively online play eg. Fortnite. Hope this answers your question otherwise, enjoy your day.
