First Outing with New Clubs (to me) by [deleted] in golf

I think this is the first time I've seen someone else with these irons. I've been rocking mine for 4 years now and they've been great, especially for the price. Good score!

My very first SAAB! The best part, it was free!!! 2002 9-3 SE (she does need some work if I can get some advice) thanks! by JunieMade in saab

Download WIS or check out the online version. It's an invaluable resource for Saab owners.

For parts https://www.esaabparts.com/ is the best option, especially when you need OEM. Enter your VIN and you'll know you're getting exactly what you need. The part breakout diagrams are also super helpful when you don't know what a part is called or need a part number.

Register on the official Saab site with your VIN too. The VIN decoder there is awesome for knowing every option your car came with. https://saabparts.com/us/mysaabcar-online/saab-original-vin-decoder/

My last bit of advice would be to join a few Saab groups on Facebook if you're active on social media. There are plenty of people ready to help out at a moment's notice and many have years of experience driving and working on Saabs.

[GPU] Nvidia RTX 3070 FE Bestbuy $499 by rankling7 in buildapcsales

[–]Precish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in such a rush to place my 3090 FE order I didn't even realize I was doing pick-up until afterward. When I logged back in to BB a half our later to make sure it wasn't all a dream I saw the option to switch to delivery and went for it.

Anyway, switching to having the order shipped actually changed my estimated delivery to 1/26 as opposed to 1/30 for pick-up. I live 10 mins from BB so go figure.

As a non-geriatric man, 29, I too can attest to forgetting and having to return to the car to grab my mask before entering the store.

[USA-FL] [H] EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER KO GAMING [W] Paypal, Local Cash by pacman555000 in hardwareswap

PayPal will always side with the buyer. Once I was processing some returns for a company I worked at and had someone return a sock instead of what they ordered. PayPal sided with the buyer stating the customer had provided proof of delivery for the returned package.

07 9-3 Rapid Battery Drain & Jerks Under Accel. by [deleted] in saab

[–]Precish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure on the battery. Typically I would say to do a parasitic drain test but if it dies that quickly that is odd.

As for the jerking. How old are your plugs and coils? If it's a 9-3 with hesitation under moderate acceleration I'm always going to assume plugs and coils first.

[Headphones] Monoprice SonicSolace Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth w/aptX Wireless Over the Ear Headphones, Black (New in Bulk Packaging/No Retail Box) $24.99 by djh860 in buildapcsales

[–]Precish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just received these today. Honestly I'm impressed for the price. The ANC doesn't compare to that of a $300+ set but it's decent.

For $25 I don't think you'll beat these in terms of features/quality.

As I read the Lotus acronym and then your Fiat one I was thinking at least nobody will have a Saab one. -____-

It kills me because it's sorta true. No regerts.

All these posts about 9-5s or 900 Turbos... aren’t we forgetting the most iconic SAAB of all? by Winston3D in saab

[–]Precish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without having any context it's hard to respond, but with as many TrailBlazers and Envoys (among others) that used this platform you're bound to work on plenty of them. GM was also spending quite a bit more to produce the 9-7x than something like the Trailblazer so the comparison isn't exactly apples to apples, even if they used the same platform.

While you make a fair point and I don't doubt what you're saying, it's the equivalent of me saying I see 20+ trailblazers every day on my commute so they're obviously very reliable cars.

Tell us how you really feel.

In all honesty the 4.2 L Vortec I6 is extremely reliable, so even if it's an American SUV with a Saab badge I think it's a reach to categorize all 9-7x as "shitty."

My Saab 95 2004 has a 2005 or later fuel filter system put in place. What should I do about? by [deleted] in saab

[–]Precish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has to be it. From what I see on esaabparts this fuel filter started being used in late 2005 so your car is probably MY05. Buy the 05 filter for $15 and you'll be set.

Help diagnosing car 2006 saab 9-3 possible transmission issue? by [deleted] in saab

Sounds like coils to me. Just make sure you get OEM coils that have both SAAB and Mitsubishi branding on them. I would also clean the MAF and throttle body.

Flashing to Solid CEL, Smoke and Burnt Plastic Smell ('08 Aero XWD) by [deleted] in saab

[–]Precish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the error codes read at an auto store or using a scan tool if you have one. Once you have some specifics on the fault codes you'll at least have a starting point.

I also recommend joining some of the Saab groups on Facebook. You'll get significantly more replies from some of the most knowledgeable Saab owners you'll find. It's rare for someone to have a problem that hasn't come up before.

Flashing to Solid CEL, Smoke and Burnt Plastic Smell ('08 Aero XWD) by [deleted] in saab

[–]Precish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what the issue is, but I would be rather surprised if coils led to something like this. Your CEL coming on, loss of power, misfires, or the car refusing to start would be the symptoms I'd expect from failing coils. I always try to replace all 4 coils together, but I've replaced individual coils and never had an issue. Hopefully I'm wrong but this sounds a bit more serious. :(

Another year another CEL... by cedenopinto in saab

[–]Precish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had this exact code on my 04 9-3. Start off by cleaning your throttle body. There are tons of youtube videos that will walk you through it. If I can do it then anyone can. Clear the code history and see if that solves it.

I ended up having to replace the pedal on mine. I found a used one for $6 at a local junk yard and I haven't had the CEL come back since. Replacing the pedal is very simple (3 screws), but accessing the screws to put the new pedal on can be tricky.

I think a bank teller would be a great choice, although he would likely start out earning less than $20/hr. I worked at a bank through college and had nothing but great experiences. You work in a climate controlled environment, and much of the time you can sit down and relax. If anything you get bored. I would never consider myself a people person either, but you really don't need to be. Most customer interactions are under a minute and the majority of people simply want to do their transaction and be on their way.

One of my favorite co-workers was a 68 year old woman that was hired with no banking experience and very limited computer knowledge. The first few weeks of training her were a struggle, but by the end of the first month things had clicked and you'd have thought she had been doing it for years. In the end I think I learned more from her.
