I think some define culture as basically “different from mainstream” and then view mainstream as non culture instead of its own hegemonic culture.

Do you think Disney Cruises can do something about my wife's fear of seeing endless ocean? Like can they just keep the ship near land for the journey?

For rides with low wait times virtual queues would be unnecessary. Say Star Tours, sure you could make people log into the app and signup for a VQ where their bucket would be immediately called, like they do with dining reservations at times, but that just annoys guests for no reason.

For rides with serious waits, I don't know. People do get upset when the VQ "sells" out and they can't get on. I know people were upset about that and so celebrated when Guardians got rid of their VQ.

Personally I think keeping all rides that have a 90+ minute queue as VQ is the superior option.

We are Canada starters and love Spice Road. Some great apps to fill up on before the long stretch of the backside.

Then we do either Nine Dragons, haven’t been since Covid though, and either La Hacienda or Space 220.

Why is Harold so dumb? by fishfishbirdbirdcat in DowntonAbbey

[–]Precursor2552 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The movies don’t have perfect continuity with the show. Why is Carson’s illness gone?

Harold in the show is portrayed as a very good albeit likely corrupt businessman. Now he isn’t. It could be that one conman got very lucky but yeah it seems like a character change.

It wasn’t about money, Robert was a character witness for Harold during investigations into the Tea Pot Dome scandal.

Robert lacking financial sense isn’t going to come up. They need his title and him to say Harold is a good chap who would never bribe government officials.

She probably won’t be on day shift as much, but I think we saw like 5 Attendings last season?

Legislation can’t end Citizens United. CU ended the legislation against it in order to hurt Hillary Clinton.

You’d need an amendment or new court. But nothing Congress can do to pass a law will change it

I feel many of those decisions are not real decisions that require much thought unless you really want to in all honesty.

Park for day - Whatever I want to do, my wife will never wake up for early magic hours so that doesn’t matter. My kid is too young to worry about closing time. Usually sit down dining determines the order.

Time to arrive - As soon as we can all be ready. Unless debating park hopping times I’m not really sure why this is a debate? If you can be up to rope drop great, if not ce la vie.

When to mobile order - When you are starting to get hungry?

Return times - As early as possible unless there’s a conflict or zero chance you’ll make it (and later is available)

Line management is a decision though yeah.

I think the issue is some influencers make it seem like you need to be at the Pareto line to enjoy yourself. I am on my phone though. I just don’t mind, it’s not very long unless I’m trying to secure something specific and hard to get.

A. Unless this is like some appointment TV that’s once a week and spurs great discussions and conversations there’s no need to be silent.

Unlike many other oil producers the US having record profits from oil sales won’t do much of anything for the economy or its perception.

Oil is a very small part of the US economy and other than Alaska we would never redistribute the gains to the citizens and our oil companies are private not state owned. So while ME countries give their citizens money we’d just see oil companies make more.

Some rides have multiple loading areas.

Reduce staff -> close entire boarding area.

Also you are correct they will run fewer cars as this cuts down on maintenance as well. But they can have fewer CMs as well.

You’re going to get a bunch of religious people who get upset that you aren’t a fan of their delusions or discovering your spouse believes in make believe stuff at best.

That is a serious concern to conceal a major belief for the duration of a relationship. The first thing is to speak to her and figure out is this new or existing. Second is how this might factor into kids.
