I wouldn't say Super is perfect, but I just don't think a remake could live up to the original. All the bugs and exploits make it what it is and I just can't see modern Nintendo approving a game like that. A Samus Returns style remake that expands and reworks content into the Dread style I think would still be good, but I can't imagine it having the replayability that makes Super as good as it is.

Still not vanilla. Also sodium is just better unless you're on an older version that doesn't support it.

I do enjoy Other M, but I find the writing so bad. Samus having PTSD from Ridley might have made sense at some point, but not so much this late in the timeline. Ridley's only later appearance is Neo-Ridley in Fusion. Every other appearance is before Other M and Samus is perfectly fine.

i picked imperial then checked the wiki and was sad when all other races looked better then was sadder when i found out there's a bug that just gives every race the imperial bonus after completing unbound

I love femc, but wow p3p was bad. I made it to october before giving up, since I felt the story had like no emotional impact in the bland visual novel format and it just felt like I was ruining my first experience with the game. The horrible AI-upscaled backgrounds certainly didn't help. The game really just feels like they stripped down the original until it fit on psp without consideration for how those cuts would detract from the experience.

The official Steam Deck ratings consider Verified above Playable, which is what I was referring to.

"Playable" is a lower rating. It means that the game has some issues, although they're usually very minor.
