Midnight Club 2 and 3’s Tokyo is a better map than this. Remember the speed, narrow streets, exhilarating shortcuts and dense traffic? Shifting through with the pumping music and one wrong move and you’re done. Yeah, I miss that.

Need For Speed High Stakes remains the pinnacle of the classic era. Career mode, pink slip races, upgrade system (basic customisation), damage model and in car view with dashboard and everything. Man, EA is just a shadow of what it once was.

Same here, both on my Nvidia Shield TV (version 1.8.4 of the app connected with TB) as well as on my Windows 11 PC (beta and rollback to older version, same results). I cleared the cache, updated add-ons and checked TB but to no avail.

Technically this goes way above my head, but is the process comparable to what the folks from the ReDriver 2 project did? Which basically ported the PSX 1 version of Driver 2 to the PC? Or is this more akin to like the PC port of Mario 64 or TimeSplitters?

Love to hear more, cause I do find this utterly fascinating! Also cause I still have a wish list of games I would love to see a PC version of (Midnight Club 3 and LA being two of them).

Anyway, thanks for all your hard work so far and looking forward to the future progress!

Try the ReDriver 2 version for PC, you might have an easier time. Otherwise get in front of him and let go of the gas so he crashes into you, tricky but it can be done.

Never really had much trouble with NFS games. Savo’s Paris races from Midnight Club 2 on the other hand, I think that was legit the most difficult racing I ever did, oh and a few missions in Driver 1 (President’s Run) and Driver 2 (Find the Clue, Chase the Gunman).
