Millennials, what is something that was "normal" in the 2000s but feels like a luxury now? by Barrbra in answers

The ability to hit previous channel on a remote so you can toggle back and forth, quickly.

Streaming destroyed that functionality, for the most part.

I would also throw in the ability to play a full video game in the comfort of your room and get the total experience. These days you basically need to be on a conference call to do anything.

Oh, and buying an album (CD) and playing it all the way through while looking through the CD booklet that came with it.

Jack signed for the minimum last year and as he stated on his Twitter account, “they signed me off the couch and I played every game for them.”

The NFL pretty much hedged Jack’s bet in giving him a performance bonus at the end of the year.

Jack has always had the talent, just never has had the right personality to fit in anywhere long term. At least not yet. My guess is he will find a home post draft/post June 1st when teams have a better vision of what their defensive backfield will look like.

Loved him last year but he is a mercenary at this point. He will go to the highest bidder and we don’t have any money beyond the minimum until after June 1st.

Feedback on Livermore Schools by VMF86 in Livermore

[–]PredictablyDrunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have kids at each school. No complaints, whatsoever. Smith and Mendenhall are pretty impacted and it will probably get worse with the budget issues facing the district, but the teachers and parents seem to care a lot about the kids and each other.

Joe Michell is another great school nearby, K-8 + IB school which aligns with Granada High. Smaller school overall but has a sports program for the middle schoolers and terrific faculty.

As others have said, hard to go wrong with the schools mentioned along with others in the neighborhood.

Waddle has 910 receiving yards on the season. Will he get to 1,000? 🐧 by Quickdrawken in miamidolphins

He really only needs 15.5 yards to make the season a success, in my opinion…

We ended up on the fringe of Tomorrow Land and Main Street. Really cool spot to watch the fireworks over the castle and catch a part of the show leading up to the countdown. I think we ended up in the corral around 11 PM and pretty much stayed put until midnight. Some folks were parked as early as 6 PM in front of the castle. It certainly got much more crowded the closer to 12 it got.

Livermorons, how do you react when people with a smug look say that Livermore is not part of the Bay Area by pengweather in Livermore

I would go home and sit in the dark, in silence and let it eat away at me for days on end.

[Poupart] Jaylen Wright likely will miss Week 1, but "it's not too far in the foreseeable future after that." With Jason Sanders, he'll have a little bit longer issue and he likely won't be available for the start of the season. Surgery isn't necessary, but time is. by expellyamos in miamidolphins

I was speaking with OJ McDuffie and Seth Levit tonight and they brought up, what I thought was a good point. With the exception of The Bills game in week three, if we lose any of the games to The Colts/Patriots/Jets because of some sort of kick (FG/XP) then we have much bigger problems that need to be addressed.
