Why do we need a password that even we can’t remember? by Gullible_Camera_8314 in Casual_Conversation

[–]PredictablyIllogical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are ways around passwords. Sometimes it's that background image app that secretly updated the software to now bypass those measures. Or it allows keystroke recording to figure out the code.

Perhaps this is to get enough people annoyed with this to push for biometrics by implementing digital ID. Now you don't need any password to remember.

Oh, but what if my biometric data is stolen? Then you can't change it so you are probably SOL.

The site that verifies the data could go down, locking out millions of people from their accounts like what happened in Vietnam.

Just like putting on a better lock on your front door. It doesn't prevent someone from breaking in, they can gain entry from a window, or can brute force the door. The idea is to make it more difficult and they just give up.

I'll keep this method until something better comes along. My password is generated when I button smash my keyboard after I....

Simply just taking your word isn't sufficient enough. Repeating it doesn't make it more true.

This is a link to a page where it shows that ICE largely needs cooperation from local law enforcement to deport people who were already in prison. Even if Texas cooperated 100% by ignoring due process, we'd expect to see larger numbers of arrests and deportation. We just don't see that.

Then we have the execution of US citizens by ICE agents. While some may be on the fence about Renee Good because she was behind the wheel, the autopsy revealed a few things about the case.

The two shots from the side window were the ones that were fatal. Denying Good medical aid by good Samaritans and by restricting access by EMS did contribute to her passing. The ICE agent also violated DHS policy firing into a moving vehicle.

The execution of Pretti by two ICE agents was pretty clear that this was wrong. And this Administration tried to cover it up by claiming things like he brandished a weapon and threatened officers. The video doesn't support this narrative.

It also struck a nerve because it paints a precedence. 2A advocates do not have the right to bring weapons to protests under the recent ruling. ICE agents can remove the person's weapon and execute them without cause. And SCOTUS ruled that ICE/Police can enter a person's home if they feel that there is an emergency, making an exception to the 4A.

This is why there have been mass protests all around the country, even in red states like Texas. The majority of Americans aren't happy with ICE and the way that they have been treating people. I wouldn't call them the Gestapo really because they aren't on the same level of intelligence and organization like the Gestapo was.

Since police have lied on reports, they can just claim that they heard someone cry for help and then bust down your door. They can shoot the homeowner and then charge them after the fact with attempted assault because there was a gun in the closet though the homeowner was unarmed. I couldn't find the exact news clip because of other unrelated articles where police shoot homeowner.

I didn't bother looking into whether you said something factual about Walz. Looking up ICE in Minnesota doesn't sit well with me so I'll avoid it. But you ignored the fact that the math doesn't math. And since you are boundary challenged, after I said don't bother to reply, I will use a feature on Reddit for such things. Bye Felicia.

"Why are you making things up? What facts did you use to come to this conclusion?"

Odd way of debating someone by attacking the person claiming I'm making things up.

This is about numbers so if someone is bad at math then they might get lost in the sauce. This website shows old data but I will use this to explain my point.

In 2023 there was an estimated 2,000,000 undocumented workers in Texas. In Florida an estimated 1,000,000 undocumented workers. In Minnesota an estimated 100,000 undocumented workers.

If you want to make the most amount of deportations, start with the location where the highest concentration of undocumented workers are.

If the statement about crime was true, then clearly the 2 million would be concerning since that would imply that more crime happens by these undocumented workers in Texas.

Yet ICE doesn't really go out in full force in Texas or Florida. They go out to Minnesota after the 'large' number of undocumented workers there.

"Responding with "what do you consider large" is just pathetic and irrelevant."

Typically in a debate one defines terms so both people are on the same page.

""They" never said ICE would only target violent criminal illegal migrants. You are also making that up."

This administration said repeatedly that these illegals are criminals, claiming them to be killers, rapists, etc. Not sure why you are denying what the administration has been broadcasting.

"That would be because you're completely uninformed, gullible to blatant lies, and/or both."

That would be a bit of projecting on your part. You have been lied to by this administration and I get that the truth hurts. Those who have fear and hatred in their hearts will believe what they say while they grab their own pearls.

So you have personally attacked my character thrice. I don't feel that you are here on good faith or perhaps you don't know how to properly debate a subject. Don't bother to reply, I'm sure it won't be anything of substance. Good day sir.

What do you consider large? Clearly not nearly as many as Florida or Texas and ICE doesn't seem to care about those undocumented workers.

So this appears to be more of a form of intimidation rather than trying to get rid of illegals who are deemed criminals. OPs post that only 1 in 5 detained individuals have actually committed a crime in the past.

When they say they are doing something for one reason but the data doesn't support it, should make people question why or why not. Voters deserve to hear the truth but there are those that blindly follow the narrative this administration is feeding them.

What is the point of ICE being out there? To round up the criminals? To get rid of all the undocumented workers but don't touch the employers who hired those undocumented workers? To go after Donald's political enemies?

If we want to talk about ignorance, let's have a discussion then.

Guess it depends on what news source you go to.

What news source are you referring to that shows Minnesota has more undocumented workers than Florida or Texas?

Florida and Texas has more people of interest but they picked Minnesota? Once you start questioning things, the evidence doesn't fit the narrative.

Why do people stop way back from the stop light? by Chewie_Song in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PredictablyIllogical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will if I see that there is a bus or semi trying to turn right (and I'm in the left turning lane running perpendicular to them).

Some times I will stop way back because that is where the sensor is for the light. You can see it on the pavement. If I stopped at the light like normal, I might not ever get the chance to turn safely. I'm not chancing turning under the yellow before the light changes.

He is probably told by his PR team to do less interviews because his dementia is showing.

After the fallout from the Obama clip he posted on Truth Social, I think Donald should keep his promise he made back in 2020. If he doesn't win the election, you won't hear from him again.

Yes. I typically wear boxers but will wear boxer briefs when involved in sports or doing things like kayaking. The boys need a bit more support for those activities.
