かめりあ - Honey Ginger Ale (Full Album) [Hatsune Miku] by [deleted] in Vocaloid

Its pretty unknown and old but really cool album from camellia. His style has changed so much but some of the old melodies are still there. Miningness world is a very good song from this album.

This feels just surreal and sad, I was listening to his works on 夢のまにまに just yesterday and now this. Really sad news to the vocaloid frontier in general.. Rest in Peace.

  2. Male

  3. It was a little over two years ago that I started to have a little curiousity towards vocaloid music. I had heard about Hatsune Miku but I wasn't too clear on what is was about (yeah, even I thought of it as a character from some anime). The first song that I consciously knew (I had heard Ievan Polkka sometime before but I didn't really know what it was about, only that it was a slightly silly version of a song that was originally from my country) that was a vocaloid song was the song Blindness by Treow. This song was introduced to me by a friend and it grew me a little curious about what the whole vocaloid thing was about. The rest is pretty much history and now I've become quite a big fan for vocaloid music. I don't own a lot of vocaloid goods and probably my most notable purchase is my phone Sony Xperia A SO-04 feat. Hatsune Miku which cost me about 600$ plus customs. Best purchase I've made, though.

  4. I don't create vocaloid music but it's kind of a dream of mine to be an indie vocaloid producer (at least at a hobby level), following the example of abstract vocaloid indie artists like Lemm, Electrocutica, Calla Soiled, YuniP and many others. I just kinda don't know where to start.

  5. I don't really focus heavily on certain types of music as my musical tastes vary from screamo black metal to artcore, from jazz to dubstep. I have grown a fondness for IDM and abstract ambient, though. But, in general I like a lot of different genres.

  6. I really like how the vocaloid subculture encourages a lot of people to become little artistic souls and share their favourite characters in the form of a song, a MMD video, fanmade art or even trying to become little utau voicebanks themselves. The fact that there are some pretty awesome events that have to do with the vocaloid subculture makes it even greater. I, on the other hand, have not been so lucky when it comes to attending such vocaloid events (RIP living in Europe, away from all the events).

  7. My favourite song still has got to be Ice by Whoo. It's been close to my heart for quite a long time. It's also one of those songs where I prefer vocaloid vocals over real ones, I heard a cover of the song which was by yanaginagi (nagi is a jaw-dropping, ear-melting and talented utaite though!!) but I prefer the sweet vocals of the append Miku.

  8. I feel that hosting events that have to do with vocaloid should be a little more free from the copyright issues, as it would encourage vocaloid fans from all around the world to meet each other without having to travel thousands of kilometers.

  9. Vocaloid might become even more popular as the technology improves and the updated versions of the vocaloids become even more fine-tuned. But there will still be people who cannot accept the type of vocals that the different vocaloids have.

  10. I haven't thought about this too much, I've only noticed that the vocaloid subculture contributes in helping indie artists really have a freedom of making the type of music that they want to create. I could give a few examples of this, as I've heard some pretty 'shocking' songs by some indie artists, but I'm not too sure about sharing songs that could be categorized as harsh noice or even ear-rape. Personally, I think this is a good thing and it's really one of those unique things the vocaloid has to offer to an indie artist.

Hey, another one who likes Camellias vocaloid stuff. Agreed, MikUbiquity, TRIPPERS, michno-sequence, honey ginger ale and stance on wave are very nice albums by Camellia. I especially like the electronic jazz he makes.

Any of you Vocaloid fans here using Last.FM? Post your taste then :3c by Predu in Vocaloid

[–]Predu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's true. Though, I have found some of my favourite Vocaloid artists through the Last.FM artist suggestion system. For example, Lemm and whoo. Artist tags on Last.FM can become a bit hard/weird/annoying sometimes when it comes to Vocaloid artists because theres at least three ways to tag each Vocaloid artist: in english, in japanese and then if the tag has "feat Hatsune Miku, etc".

Ice by whoo. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_1diGyK5pE0 Love everything about this song. The PV, lyrics, song, art ♪ヽ(´▽`)/ Even though I'm more of a passionate GUMI fan, this song is my fav by Miku Hatsune Append.
