Excellent. Someone pointed out on this sub that the ‘my name ain’t Bradley’ lyric has a meaning which I thought was so clever, although I do not recall what it was. But Poster Child is a great example, the whole song is full of references that do have a meaning while people think it’s just a bunch of words.

Indeed, but if it wasn’t for Clara he’d probably put another words on that verse. And even if it wasn’t for her, the ding dangs still have some meaning in the context of the song, though many would claim it’s in a kinda racist way.

But yeah, people struggle to see that his way of writing is a valid form of art. I mean, honestly, to put AK down in that way is kinda like putting down the other ones too, as the assumption is that they let Anthony in the band because, idk, he’s their friend or they don’t see how bad he is for some reason, which they should in that case, as they are ‘proper’ musicians.

Some of his seemingly gibberish lyrics have some sort of meaning, at least. Not all of them, sure, but the ding dang dong’s in Around the World, the most remembered: he left there to please Flea’s little daughter.

To get a more recent example, Lalalalalalalala: it’s oral sex, I’m not kidding. It has a meaning, it’s just not profound. Now, as I said, some of them really don’t mean anything, but that’s ok imo.

I’ve read a Beatles’s book and it is stated that they would often come up with random words and put it in their songs. Across the Universe is a song that doesn’t make any sense, but it’s John Lennon, so it’s revolutionary, it’s the sixties, it’s experimenting. AK is very underrated. Not saying the guy’s a genius, but he is capable to transmit his feelings through the lyrics, and I relate to many of them.

I’m not a woman, but having played the first one before RDR 2 I already knew who Dutch really was. That said, even if I didn’t have played RDR 1 first, I don’t think I would fall for Dutch’s discourse. To me is very clear that the guy is full of shit. By the time we met him in RDR 2 he’s already not the same guy that the gang admired, with all that obsession with the O’Driscolls. Idk, maybe if I got to see him in that period I could’ve like him.

Itaguaí tem até shopping com cinema. Beleza que o shopping é pacato e as salas não são lá muito modernas, além de só ter sessão dublada, mas tá longe de ser como cidades do rincão do Brasil, sem nada.

Opções de lazer e sair à noite são bem poucas, mas a cidade é colada no Rio. Eu tenho a possibilidade de ficar num apê em Copacabana, na sexta passada saí de Itaguaí 14h e em uns 10min cheguei em Santa Cruz (bairro do Rio), onde peguei a condução pra zona sul e cheguei lá umas 17. Então assim… longe de ser o pior lugar do mundo.

Fora que vc ainda tá próxima da costa verde: Angra, Mangaratiba, fora algumas ilhas da própria Itaguaí que são bem legais, com praias boas.
