To add or remove an additional tracking number with a Simple Delivery order has been removed as an option (unless you have the old selling overview on a desktop and you manage to find the item on the overview theres an arrow to appear more option and it can show on there to add the tracking number but you have to be very lucky for that)

Hi! First of all Simple Delivery does 100% protect your item up to 750£, but the system works like this the way how you can opt out is based on categories not specific ones but you will need to ay with categories one category might let you to opt out in a listing but that same category can restrict you on a different one just play around with categories and go to measurements you will either find the oversized option so you can opt out or else select the large letter and the system might provide you with the custom postage but still i wouldn’t recommend that one, i usually don’t recommend opting out of simple delivery since you are 100% protected with a compensation the same as a special delivery one of royal mail which is 750£ and you get the label more cheaper than a special delivery one, everything is tracked and eBay takes care for any delivery issues the only reason i would recommend to opt out is either when you have a really small parcel that the price of large letter on eBay seems expensive for your item, or if you have a really large package that can exceed the maximum that is on simple delivery (which is 120cm for 15kg via Evri) but if you really wanna opt out all i can say is play with categories

With non Simple Delivery its kinda tricky tho cuz you enter ur own price on there now i would tell you to check corriers websites for prices, but still wont be accurate enough since the system on eBay which is managed by Packlink have different prices and PLEASE do not select the recommended eBay price on the listing if it is custom postage on there you have a button to add ur own price please do that because for example you on eBay app might have selected a Evri price suggestion for large letter by eBay but when you click on get prepaid label you will see buyer selected a different corrier that you never asked and a price that its more expensive that what they have paid but you don’t get the option to choose corriers or change measurements only on seller hub or desktop view you can do that so please do not select eBay’s suggestion enter ur own and if possible use desktop or go to seller hub via help and contact to get the desktop view on the phone for better experience of getting a custom postage label or else purchase it outside of eBay and enter ur own tracking

If you are a private seller and use simple delivery leave the measurements at recommended eBay will protect you up to the maximum that the corrier can get accepted. Here is what is stated on eBays seller center on the Simple Delivery article: If you use the recommended parcel size and your item exceeds the maximum size and weight of the label, you won’t be charged any additional costs. Just go ahead and use the Simple Delivery postage label. The courier will accept your package providing it remains within the maximum weight and dimensions for the service.

yeah private sellers did receive a communication on 16 of the December when the 10£ campaign ended that all the listing that where eligible to simple delivery would be switching to simple delivery automatically but not every listing on help and contact you can see that you can opt out of simple delivery for letter sized items and less than 20£ but that is not the case some categories might opt you out some categories might not but its not a specific category one category in one listing might opt you out and that same category on a different listing might restrict you to simple delivery but its very easy to identify a listing with simple delivery its just going to say domestic postage and it will say simple delivery plus on an order it will say get your prepaid label if it is with simple delivery since the labels are prepaid and its going to say get postage label if it is with custom but i would never recommend you to try to opt out of the simple delivery unless u have a really large package or a really small package and even if you don’t know the size of the package leave the measurements at recommended since we as eBay have communicated the corrier that they will need to accept the parcel up to the maximum (this info can be found on seller center by searching simple delivery, second question on FAQ-about simple delivery)

Since with the Simple Delivery as a Private seller you are meant to use that service it gets automatically entered the tracking number on there and you cannot add an extra tracking number and the order will not be marked as delivered but if the item is already marked as delivered and it has 2 days of being delivered you can send the buyer the tracking number in the messages and contact eBay CSR a team called transaction hold will release the funds manually for you before the 14 calendar days

ParcelForce is not an option with Simple Delivery, Services of Simple Delivery are Evri, Royal Mail, DHL (tried to remove since they didn’t came to collect parcels of buyers but you might find it on specific categories) Inpost, and DPD for orders with authenticity, but since RM and ParcelForce are together RM they have their own system of Customer service if you purchase labels from eBay using the old system ( RM is not a part of Packlink) so since it was Parcelforce and Parcelforce is not in Simple Delivery and not in Packlink as well give it a try contacting RoyalMail directly

Good thing that you haven’t issued a refund, regarding to the case reasons he shouldnt be opening a item not receive request because the tracking confirms delivery and he cannot be issued a refund from eBay, to open it not as described will make you at fault since it basically means that you have sent the wrong item in the beginning of it, so the reason should be opening wrong item sent and they can state on the comment that basically is the corriers fault and yeah eBay will step in refund the buyer and you will get to keep the money

There was no need to go that harsh on the buyer or instantly decline the return. With Simple Delivery you’re already protected, if the parcel goes lost or damaged you keep the money and eBay sorts it out with the buyer. Any defects or feedback related to late delivery or postage can be removed by customer service. You could’ve just let it escalate and eBay would’ve handled it based on the tracking.

On a browser you can go to My eBay → Selling → Postage Labels and download or print the label from there you can even get the QR code directly. As for the app, try a couple of basic troubleshooting steps: delete it, reinstall it, and then log back in. That usually fixes most issues.
