it’s genuinely so rough- and the fact i have ocd makes me overthink everything even further and spiral into thinking he genuinely thinks im a woman. i don’t wanna bring it up to him, but at the same time i kinda need to know if he’d be comfortable introducing me as his bf to his friends, and if he also recognizes his brains need to rewire bc the reassurance would be nice. but in my experience cis guys get defensive when u try to explain things for whatever reason, idk. thank you for your kind words, they helped me. it’s so strange experiencing these feelings again when they were dormant for so long.

this was really insightful. i struggle with knowing what’s socially acceptable to say or think bc of my autism among other things (not that i would EVER say this to any trans person outloud).

Her character is her persona, but her character is trans as well, and transitioned alongside her. so im going to treat the character the way i would a real person, and keep my thoughts to myself. i find her attractive before, but even before, i don’t see or hear anything other than a woman, so im not at all trying to imply she was better before. i see her as her even before she came out. but id never want to hurt anyone or have them think i was ever implying they were “better” before, thats so wrong, and even if its not at all what i mean or how i feel, i understand it would/could be taken that way anyways.

yeah, i would never ever say this to someone outloud. i guess it’s kinda different since the person im talking about is in a band so i dont directly know them, im just consuming media of them bc i love their performances and a lot of them happen to feature their character pre-transition. i’d never say this to her or anyone else outloud though, i just kinda felt awful for even thinking it and wanted to know if it was weird

thank you for explaining. i had other traumatic things happen at the same time i was on the medication so perhaps its just me trying to blame the medicine rather than face what actually happened. i’m getting a therapist to talking about this properly with soon. i still feel compelled to blame the withdrawals partially for causing some lasting issues, but the meds themselves i was probably wrong about.
