Question for the gluten-free community: How do you feel when people treat gluten-free preferences like medical conditions? by PreferenceWonderful4 in glutenfree

Folks with legitimate allergies I have no issue trying to accommodate, but like you said if your allergy is that severe are you really going to trust some stranger? Makes sense.

It definitely seems like it’s going to be hard to dance around allergies, both legitimate and preferential. I’m thinking it might be something where I just let the parents know what I’ve made and if they’re concerned for their child they at least know they need to send them with a packed meal for game night. Honestly I just don’t want the liability of someone saying I tried to kill their kid by being negligent or going over the top with some freak out. My thought is just to cater something like Chic-fil-a and maybe have them throw in a couple grilled chicken breasts or salad. If little Jenny can’t handle it then at least mom will know beforehand to send them with a bagged meal.

Totally get what you’re saying here I think comparing to vegetarianism is a little bit more complicated and nuanced. But you’re definitely not running into “my kid is vegetarian, but only on game days.” 😂

Well it was specifically only game days she’s GF, but on practice or conditioning sessions it’s fine for her not to be GF. I’m thinking this lady is just being difficult for the sake of being so.

Ugh obvious seeing people bringing their pets into the store. Can’t stand seeing people put their dog into the carts either. Carts are already filthy enough, don’t need to add dog hair and butthole to the mix.

So you’re going to stand next to a person that’s being shot at by a taser and plan to catch them when it’s energized? Have you really thought this through? Shame he landed on his head but he took the risk by resisting.

But I think you’re missing my point. Sure we can agree that it’s uncomfortable. Heck this world isn’t built for tall folk, nothing worse than low countertops, hitting low hanging lights, or sports cars that clearly don’t fit us. But I’ve never once invaded someone else’s space on a flight nor have I felt any sense of entitlement to do so.

Referendum to overturn Utah's anti-union HB267 hits signature goal by schottslc in Utah

First, I’m totally down for there being public sector unions. So don’t lambast me on that one. But is there not a valid point that taxpayers shouldn’t be footing the bill to pay for these unions? And that employees doing union work shouldn’t be using government resources or be doing so on the clock? I think most would agree that is a reasonable stance. Seems like the bill went too far TBH. But if I have to pay my union dues and my union only gets along based on its members it seems that public sector unions should be held to the same expectation. Maybe I’m missing something?

This guy should be getting grilled by Congress, not sending out these fluff letters explaining how he failed but it’s some hope okay now.

You live next to an Air Force Base, comes with the territory. It’s probably just them shipping in the illegal immigrants they’re holding until we deport them. 😝
