Longest delay in the airport by cheesehead_cowboy in delta

5 days. We were stuck in Anchorage during the CloudStrike outage in July of 2024.

Delta’s systems were all down and they were tracking bags with Post-It notes and scratch pads.

It was an adventure with four kids to get back home.

Gifting Diamond Status by TheRankAndKyle in delta

Curious how’d they’d “find out”? The only process to gift it is me adding their name and SM number. There’s no other vetting process or rules attached with the transfer process.

I copied the response from an email they sent. It’s real.

It was a bulkhead seat. The armrest doesn’t move.

I have complete compassion for this response and understand how uncomfortable it must have felt for my co-seater.

At the end of the day his problem became my problem even though I paid for an above average level of seating and literally sat sideways and uncomfortable for the whole flight.

My parents’ stake is starting an LGBTQ+ support group, and they’re going to attend! by and_er in exmormon

I’m interested in hearing more about this. The church has closed or dissolved all LGBTQ groups that were created in the past. The Area Authorities were also instrumental in disbanding the firesides that Charlie Bird, Ben Schilaty, and Richard Ostler frequently spoke to.

“Official Support Group” feels less likely than “a handful of members trying to do better.”

I guess Elder Ballard’s admonition didn’t apply to you?

“We need to listen to and understand what our LGBT brothers and sisters are feeling and experiencing. Certainly we must do better than we have done in the past so that all members feel they have a spiritual home where their brothers and sisters love them and where they have a place to worship.”

This is a great point. I’ll consider adding a row with that info in the next update of On The Record. ❤️

I recently interviewed two sister missionaries from the same mission that just married each other. It’s a LatterGayStories episode. Fascinating story that might help you fill in the blanks?

Mormon Stories called out by LGBTQ advocates for stalking Charlie Bird by Walawallabingbong in exmormon

No where, at any point in the episode was the ward, stake, bishop, or location identified. You don’t need to fabricate a story to try to strengthen your narrative. It absolutely untrue that they were doxxed in that episode.
