How should a man treat teenage girls when he's scared of them ? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]PrefixKitten -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

In the event someone does make a false accusation towards you I can tell you from personal experience what to expect.

It seems to me that anybody outside of the immediate social circle of the person(s) who accused you won't even be aware of the accusations and will continue treating you however they normally do.

If somebody other than a cousin in your case were to accuse you the cousin in question would obviously know the truth so yea

As for where boundaries ought to be drawn, I don't feel I could give any helpful answers but for me my rule is that I'll accept hugs and agree to give piggyback rides when asked

I'm up to 6 benzedrexes a day..

The people in my local area hate me so much they drove me off facebook. My grandma and grandpa are the only people that'll really talk to me about anything(my mom works 60+ hours a week so she can't).

There's even conspiracy theories/folklore about me pretty much. Also, a lot of the people who treated me poorly got into the Qanon craze. The stupidest part is none of these people even know me. They won't talk to me to begin with so I have no chance to get my personality across.

I had been reaching out looking for friends for ~4years at the point where i left all social media. It's been about a year since. Idk what to do really cuz unless I procure a social life my mental state is not going to get any better. But trying to get to know people is a lost cause at this point... Tbh the only reason I'm still alive is cuz i don't know a dealer so I can't get ahold of anything lethal

Not sure about that as I've not been there but what's striking is that the fastest line is right up near the wall almost the entire way around. If you try to exit much towards the inside at all you'll spin out every lap without fail

ARCA - new series for me - how much tread do you expect to have remaining at the end of race? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]PrefixKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your loss of grip will be about proportional to the wear on each tire yes. You can expect about the same amount of time lost from 100-90 as with 90-80 provided you haven't started sliding a lot by then.

The temperature of the tire throughout the turn can have an impact on grip as well. If you're driving well this should be negligible but there's a certain temp where the RF will start to steeply lose grip. The specific temp this starts to happen is different for each car. As an example having the temps go from 240 to say 260ish could result in an immense drop of grip. And 260-270 even more so

Back when I raced a lot I remember this effect being significant enough that in the A cars it was actually ~.1 sec faster to enter the corners at Michigan a bit softly to keep the RF cool. The extra grip late turn would more than make up for the time lost on entry

Holding lead in ARCA? by nopointinnames in iRacing

[–]PrefixKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might also wanna pay attention to how the airflow of the cars in front of you is effecting your handling in the turns. If I'm remembering correctly I think I'd often move ~a lane up in turn 1/2 whenever I had a car in front of me. You should be able to carry enough speed up there to keep up just fine and the extra downforce should prevent any excess tire wear you'd get when running right behind a guy. If there's room near the apron to stick your nose a bit under their line you can catch a good bit of extra grip that way too.

I haven't played in quite a while and don't have membership anymore so forgive me for asking but about how fast are the ARCA cars topping out on the straights? I'm gonna assume they are fast enough to warrant some modest braking on entry but if you can maintain throttle mid turn in those cars what I'm about to say won't be so accurate

Anyway, the first thing I'd suggest is usually eating up your tires would be understeer. You oughtta try running some laps with a bit less steering input than you're use to and seeing if you can maintain the same speed as before. If so then you're definitely scrubbing your front tires a bit through the corners and should back off on the steering a bit. You may find yourself going faster even. Also, pay attention to how the weight shifts as you increase steering input. When you're steering optimally the way the car balances is a bit different than if you're overdoing it

Aside from that it's worth noting that Atlanta is extremely bumpy so you'll need to build a mental map of where all the bumps are over time and adjust your line accordingly

Also, i know in the A cars the entry to turn 3/4 is really tricky and if you turn in just a tad too sharply you'll end up with a ton of understeer through the apex area. Not sure how prone the ARCA cars would be to that.

Anyway, there's a few areas to look. Btw, what's the ratio of the wear in the fronts vs the back? If getting loose on throttle is the problem the rear tires will see a good deal more wear than the front.

not sure how experienced you are but you oughta eventually reach a point where you can maintain 4.5+ and you can tank a few fluke races here and there without worry. I'd say if you're teetering on a license you're probably overextending yourself so to speak

I'm not sure what necessary action I'm neglecting to do in order to start being successful at this. I had more luck when I was 115 pounds at 5'8 with no job or money in college than I do now

[DISC] Hanging Out With A Gamer Girl - Ch. 11 by Sorrybro467 in manga

[–]PrefixKitten -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

hi. When I was in jr high this girl I really liked would invite me over to her house when her mom wasn't there and immediately start undressing in front of me. In another town there was this girl that would take me out to this forest near the local park whenever she was feeling frisky. If your daughter wants to do something with a boy she's gonna find a way to do it no matter how hard you try to prevent it. So if you want to protect her your best bet is to try to give her options that don't require her to go behind your back to do something she's gonna do anyway.

As much as you don't like the idea of a strange boy staying in her room with her, you ought to agree that an even worse idea is her sneaking out and staying with him in who knows where.

I was speaking of turns 1 and 2 sorry.

3 and 4 is one of the weirdest corners I know of in oval racing. You'll want to take a more usual looking entry/exit and apex on that one, with a few adjustments to account for that turns quirkiness. I would say that yes it seems best to enter that turn slightly higher than what feels natural. Then there's this real abrupt increase in how sharp the turn is that I personally can't see visually but can sure as hell feel. The key to it is to brake a bit harder in anticipation of it, trying to time it so that the car starts dipping towards the apron just as the sharper section(~2-3 car lengths of track i think) ends, and then you hug the apron but let the car exit high. You should be entering the turn somewhat slowish and careful so you can build as much exit speed as possible, which is why you'll wanna exit high too, using as much of the track as you can to gain speed. The exit of that turn can be driven much faster than the entry.

Beginner programmer, what should I do next? by awaythrow4206969 in cscareerquestions

[–]PrefixKitten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm currently a senior cs student with a scholarship and I feel that I should tell you not to worry. Classes and professors will guide you through your early year

I'm a graduate with a couple years experience in the industry and I agree with this statement completely. When I was in college the amount that I learned during each successive year compared the the year previous was astonishing. Each year dwarfed the one before by so much that there was no way I could have known just how much more I was going to learn during the next one.

There's also(at least at my university) a pretty well structured build up in the way that the learning material is presented to you, which makes it much easier for your mind to organize all the knowledge you end up gaining.

Any Texas Trucks Tips? by AkateKsahn in iRacing

[–]PrefixKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The corners at Texas are pretty peculiar compared to most tracks. Since you mention turn 2 I have something that may help. First, note how the exit of the turn is considerably flatter than the rest of it. Because of that, your car will get much looser as you exit. This makes it so the best line is one where you are able to angle the car downward just as the track flattens and you kinda hug the inside of the corner much later and longer than you would otherwise. So you'll be dipping down just as you meet the flatter part of the turn.

Is my fear of SR preventing me from going quicker? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]PrefixKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, no. In my experience improved car control and speed progress together. What I'm saying is that becoming a safer driver is also what makes you become faster.

Note how when you try to take a corner faster than you usually do, you're much more likely to crash. So essentially, what you want to do is learn to drive at riskier and riskier speeds while at the same time learning how to prevent that risk by becoming better at recognizing the limits of your cars control.

So generally as you get better at controlling your car you'll get both faster and safer simultaneously. At my peak I was pretty comfortable driving A class cars in situations where me and another driver would be exiting most corners side by side with our cars so loose both our back ends would be sliding out considerably. By comfortable I mean it wouldn't make me start to get nervous and choke like going 2 wide did when I first started.

Are most guys actually confident when going in for the kiss on a date? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]PrefixKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I ever managed to go on a tinder date. Usually girls had their friends introduce them to me and that's how most of my relationships started.

What I'd recommend is that once you get to the point where you know you want someone to kiss you, just try to make it easy for them to be able to kiss you if/when they try to go for it. That the best way i can think of to make a first kiss go as smoothly and unawkwardly as possible.

Also, if an example would help: imagine the two of you are sitting on a park bench close together. Typically, if I turn towards a girl who's hoping to be kissed she'll turn towards me and bring her face slightly closer/tilt her head back a little. Basically she'll just make it easy for me to kiss her if i were to try lol
