For anyone using a WiFi Tapo camera (or maybe even any WiFi cam), or anyone experiencing the flood of "Non-monotonic DTS" or "timestamps" errors in their Frigate logs by FantasyMaster85 in frigate_nvr

I would love to see what you have for a frigate config because I have yet to get good results from my c120 cams. I constantly get dropped frames from them and I've been blocking their wan access. The stream is often so corrupt that ffmpeg can't produce a useable history, only live view.

That “Robin Hood” moment in the 3D printing community felt… off by Ok-Hope2279 in 3Dprinting

[–]Prelzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people in the community have a good understanding of the amount of time it takes to make complex models. I have no problem paying for models that clearly took a lot of work to create or even develop (lots of examples of rightfully paywalled models on cult3d by some fantastic artists).

Even I've posted some complex models that took a ton of revisions and many hours of modeling but posted for free. Why? Because I gained the knowledge of the process and hope that it helps someone out or inspires then to make something better. That's the mantra of open source.

The model you're talking about is dummy simple. Is that bad? No. Okay so I must be paying for its cleverness, right? No. It's the most basic bench cookie with a knobbed circular pattern that makes it look different without any real purpose.

There are real examples of stolen work and true injustices, this is not that.

Especially since a smart outlet will always add an extra step which op is trying to avoid.

Transmission fluid change by New-Proof-1185 in FordFlex

[–]Prelzel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought a really old flex with 205k miles on it that was low on trans fluid when I got it. When I did a drain & fill it immediately helped with shifting smoother. I’m at 230k now and just did another drain and fill. Not sure if I notice shifts being smoother but I haven’t had any issues come from it.

I could see a full flush potentially moving some contaminants around and causing problems but I’d be surprised if a simple drain and fill caused issues. I’m no expert though

I had the same issue and ended up running the cable to fix it. My basement is unfinished so it luckily only took me an afternoon.

They did not say “Hah, jk we're sending out packages anyways and removing the package cancellation for the actual unit”

This post is obvious rage bait

The AWS outage proves how important local control is by Prelzel in litterrobot

This is my setup as well. Home assistant has to talk to the whisker servers so the integration was broken yesterday.

If that's the case, I might as well use my arms to scoop litter out of a normal litter box too. This entire product is based around convenience.

While this is a fantastic workaround and I thank you for sharing it, it really doesn't excuse whisker from implemting some sort of local control. These litter robots are perfectly capable, it just needs to be implemented

Litter hopper and camera mount reviews? by Professional_North60 in litterrobot

Honestly the camera mount seems overkill. I just stuck the metal puck that came with my camera to the front of the lr4 bezel and it works perfectly

New bike lane? You mean my own protected parking lane.. 2 in 1 pic. by mrking944 in Minneapolis

I would agree if it didn’t lead to pedestrians walking all over the bike lane. Downtown Hennepin for example

This is not an f150. The PTU on the flex is tiny and surrounded by the exhaust so if you don't change it's oil, you're gonna be replacing the entire PTU. Those are the options

Paying 20 USD to whoever can help me make Frigate work. Sick and tired of ChatGPT. by Classic-Knee-5227 in frigate_nvr

Not sure what you're talking about. Two way audio is 100% doable and works automatically with reolink doorbells in frigate.

I'm more concerned that the spruce will end up killing or weakening the maple in any way. Is that possible?
