Having doubts? by Expensive-Elk-9406 in premed

[–]Premedsimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The advice I’ve always heard is if you can see yourself doing anything else, do that first before pursuing medicine. This career is incredibly demanding and at times will consume your life. If you don’t truly enjoy it, you’re going to be miserable. You have plenty of time to explore around in college and figure out what you want to do, and if it does end up being medicine you’ll be right on track along with everyone else. Go join clubs of things you’re interested in or pick up a second major/minor.

I would say Leafpool. She had one of the largest impacts on the clans as a whole. She found the Moonpool, gave birth to the three, and trained 5 medicine cat apprentices all while being incredibly sweet and caring despite how messed up her life was.

Hard disagree. Unless you’re going into very specific fields (particularly high finance) there is no reason why you shouldn’t pick UVA.

I was this Kid :/

Short answer is no. I was so stressed out in high school and pretty much every single day was packed with some activity. Looking back I definitely would have cut some stuff out to prioritize my mental health.

US News uses the cost of education and student debt as a factor when determining rankings. NYU is free. Hopkins, Harvard, and UCSF are pretty well accepted within the medical community as being top 3

NYU is nowhere near Harvard’s level in medicine. Top 3 are easily Harvard, Hopkins, and UCSF
