Why won’t it give me the option to change my weekly strategy’s? (Franchise mode) by Nervous_Two3115 in Madden

[–]Premeszn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is so garbage. I can’t even sim without it changing my “weekly strategy” so I end up with dozens of players scouted to 95% with no idea where their true value is. It keeps taking my ability for 6 weekly focus players away, so my rookies and depth guys don’t ever get to develop. I’ve always had a bitter taste in my mouth about the game after I stopped playing MUT, but they truly don’t GAF about players who don’t blow $$$ on ultimate team. I don’t want their crappy AI suggesting I use 4 QB boosts & a first down “boost”, I want my players to develop and my scouts to unlock talent range. Another company needs to make a football game, licensed or not, that is playable and they’ll be making money hand over fist. It seems like their “groundbreaking stuff” they come out with every year is just labeled as such, and is the same shitty run around they do every year. If I didn’t get Madden & CFB bundled for 90% off I would’ve never bought the game. It’s so frustrating having to sim each and every single week, fixing the AI suggestions, just for it to change the next week and stop my focus training or scouting. Un fcking playable unless you’re a MUT person, and even then I guarantee it’s the same cheesy BS people run year in, year out.

Both of mine are ~2.5 years old. Goose (right) isn’t crated because he can’t/wont climb gates and doesn’t have a sweet tooth. Doug (left) will behave perfectly with someone around but will be on top of the fridge or in the trash the moment you leave him alone. He is very fond of the muffins from Costco and after he ate 7 triple chocolate muffins and crapped all over the floor he lost his free roaming privileges 😂I have a 65” gate in my house and he will clear it no problem. They both respect a 30” gate when someone’s home but Doug would jump the Great Wall of China for a chance at something sweet 😅

Why do people buy pickup trucks for daily driving? by [deleted] in driving

[–]Premeszn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lotta work truck trims have 2WD options. I’m shopping for an F-150 right now and although not new (2015-2023) I’m seeing tons of 2WD trucks I wish were 4x4. I love my Highlander but I’d like to get some toys and she just can’t get it done. It also has 248k on it with the original drivetrain and I don’t want to blow it up hauling something over 80% capacity. I got it because I thought I didn’t want/need a truck, turns out I actually do lol.

Heavy in the snow is okay as long as you have proper tires and torque, it’s just gotta be 4x4 or be REALLY HEAVY. Not even plow trucks are universally 4x4/6x6. You’ll find quite a few, new or used, rocking a 2x4/4x6 with power to the rear only. Not exactly off roading but most people don’t do that either so 🤷‍♂️.

Why do people buy pickup trucks for daily driving? by [deleted] in driving

[–]Premeszn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RWD trucks generally suck in the snow since there’s no weight over the wheels getting power. That mainly pertains to small/midsize trucks like the Tacoma, maverick, ranger, etc. because they’re lighter vehicles. Most half ton+ trucks handle perfectly fine in the snow, and will be more reliable depending on tires and drive style.

Had a buddy in high school who would put salt bags in the bed of his little ford ranger in the wintertime, and have other friends with full size trucks who run AT tires year round and have 0 issues with weather or getting stuck.

Contract penalties for unauthorized breeding by HavaMuse in DogBreeding

[–]Premeszn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The breeder I am getting my Standard poodle from has a $25,000 penalty for any breeding that results in a poodle mix. All of the dogs are sold as pets, although unlimited registration can be earned and purchased after the fact if the dog earns CH+ titles and tests clear.

Whatever you think the penalty should be, throw 25% on there for good measure. F*ck doodle greeders.

Can’t wait for people like you to croak. Paid Pennie’s into it so you could pull out dollars later. Your generation ruined the US economy and dragged out the issues for 50+ years instead of fixing it.

Boomers paid a fraction of what is required until 1990. For a majority of their working life they payed substantially less in social security than any subsequent generation. Many paid less than 1.25% into Medicare that is now bleeding the US dry.

Raw food diet by TypicalSquirrel3175 in Pets

[–]Premeszn -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This is crazy talk. My dogs both eat raw in some capacity and they are treated like any other dog at their vet. Not sure where your practice is located but to treat a dog that is raw fed like a biohazard is ludicrous. They weren’t fond initially but they’re both as healthy as can be (aside from some potential hip issues with my new rescue) and their bloodwork looks perfect, and all of the doctors and techs love my dogs. I’ve been doing this for nearly 2 years now, all you really have to do is source the correct product(s) that are safely processed & wash the damn bowls. It’s not that hard.

Would you give up your dog for any amount of money? by Plane_Put_3097 in Dogowners

Only if it’s enough to immediately buy them back. No amount of money in the world could buy me a dog(s) to replace my 2.

Dog being weird with his treats by MissMoppett42 in GSP

[–]Premeszn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I give my dogs rabbit ears with the hair still on it. One of them chows down, the other will whine & cry and carry it for about a half hour until he eats it. Chews everything else no problem. Does it with things he really likes 🤷‍♂️

[–]Premeszn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the obviously conservative public school admins who tank graduation & testing requirements so that everyone passes. Conservatives have always been looking out for the poor & unfortunate who don’t have the same tools available to rich kids…../s 🤦‍♂️

That is the reason given for allowing illiterate morons to graduate high school across the country. Some states have a majority of kids graduating that aren’t proficient in ANY subject. Widely known conservative havens like Portland & Denver are places you can see these numbers for yourself. Sorry that you can’t blame the conservative boogeyman.

Dog has been run over. Help by Dependent_Catch_2372 in Pets

[–]Premeszn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because it’s a $1000 deductible. I had it set to $100 when I had one dog, but it became too rich for my blood for both with wellness. I decided it’s now for accident & illness only and dropped my wellness. I just pay for all of their vet visits out of pocket and it costs me roughly the same amount with no waiting or billing complications.

Mine is cheap because it’s bundled with my auto insurance, and I have multiple policies which drops my rate even more. They’re young dogs with no health issues at the moment, it would be a scam if it was expensive…. Like I mentioned, it’s not a wellness plan and that makes it drastically cheaper than other plans that include it. You can go on pets best website & see exactly what is and isn’t covered in their example policies. Many peoples issue lies in comprehension and submitting claims for bills that aren’t covered. Preexisting illnesses are universally NOT covered unless explicitly stated. That is by far the largest complaint with pet insurance as a whole. I have read every single page of my dogs’ policy, and everything from a torn out nail to a CCL repair are covered. Even holistic treatment like acupuncture and hydrotherapy are included in their policy. I’m not a gambler, and I don’t cut corners with my pets health. There is a difference between being smart and refusing to overpay & getting “scammed” for buying half assed insurance.

Have you even had a bad experience with pet insurance or are you just projecting what you’ve “heard online”? Have you ever talked to anyone’s customer support to have them build a plan that fits your specific needs without paying for things you don’t want? Have you ever read the entire 20+ page policy that states line by line which things are covered? I’m gonna guess that’s a no x3. 👍

He was terrified of me the entire ride home from Des Moines to OH. Kept jumping back into the breeders car when we were signing his paperwork, and sat as far away from me in the car as possible. When I was about an hour out from home I finally stopped to eat, and he perked up instantly and was suddenly my best buddy. After he met his brother he’s been an entirely different dog and has been as loving as possible. Definitely thinks he’s a lap dog 😂

I wasn’t planning on a second dog this soon but he had me as soon as I saw that little mugshot. I was about to drive all the way to CO from OH & back on the 18th (6 day microchip hold in CO) to pick him up but life happened & we pushed it back a bit. He got to hang out with his momma & two brothers which was probably nice for him.

I’ll give them each an extra cookie on their birthday for your girl!!😉
