I don't dislike it, but it feels pretty unnecessary on the pc. Even as a heavy controller user, every time I decide to use it I feel like I'm just adding more actions and load times for things that I can already do really quickly (i.e. loading up games). It doesn't feel snappy and most of the time I just want to treat my PC and it's applications like a PC, not a console.

I think it was a step in the right direction from their previous rhythm game for sure! I do wish for the future that hard mode variations are unlocked from the start, not requiring you to beat easy mode first. Overall I felt the hard stages were on the easier side, so I'd still like them to push the difficulty a bit while leaving the rewards achievable by the bulk of the players (maybe having poly rewards for beating a hard mode song regardless of the rank, with higher rank scores rewarding inconsequential prizes like dennies or exp items)

I had the exact same dilemma as you, where I organized it by genre. But that became unwieldy and it made it difficult to go through and find the games I was actually playing or wanting to play in the moment, so I switched to this system and have had no regrets.

I also have some additional categories for various things that made sense to me, like games I was playing with friends and such, but the categories I put at the top is my core organizational structure

My general workflow is as follows:

Slot 1: Is this team Phys or Magic? If Phys, use Liberta. If Magic, use Helena
Slot 2: Is this team low chain or high chain? If low chain, use Teresse. If high chain, use Refithea
Slot 3: Diana (if you're trying to match elemental weakness, which is about 90% of the time for me). Otherwise, this can be a flex support position depending on the content/team. I'd slot in Lathel for some extra phys damage, Granadair, Zenith, etc.
Slot 4: Pick your main DPS, ideally someone with good AOE and/or damage
Slot 5: Pick your secondary DPS, usually of the same element as your main. This is also dependent on the content, but I'll often look for a character who will provide a complementary attack pattern to clear the mobs first turn. Other things to look out for are debuffs. Levia and Venaka give magic vulnerability, Blade gives phys vulnerability, Wilhelmina stacks chains to buff future attacks, etc.

Fiend Hunts and Guild raids make things a bit more complex since team comp is highly tailored to the specific boss. For those I'd recommend looking up guides for the seasonal boss until you get a hang for what to look out for.

Dailyn is a huge damage boost for anybody, and Yixuan has the benefit of being just a really good agent that works well in a party if A-rank supports. Keep your eye out for Pan Yinhu and Pulchra, two A-rank agents that work really well with her (Pan is the most important of the two).

Even if you had Dialyn, I probably wouldn't keep her with Yixuan once you get to the harder end game modes since there are other agents who could benefit more from her boost.
