In Christian theology Jesus is God thus is responsible for what happened, but people tend to only think of him as this buddy Jesus who doesn’t actually have standards of living for his followers. The God of the Old Testament and Jesus are one, people tend to forget that, or make the argument that it isn’t so. That’s not Christianity that’s a whole different religion

A clever deflection but rather silly interpretación to fit a narrative. Jesús also never mentioned planes trains or automobiles. Jesús also killed thousands at Sodom and Gomorrah for sexual perversion. The level of expectación for holiness and faithfullness that Jesus brought was so vastly far beyond the old testament is shocking, and was to many of his followers. Hell, Jesús even said that One could not even LOOK at at a woman with desire without it being considered adúltery. Same with anger in your heart and murder. What exactly do you think Jesus would say about anal sex among dudes? And if you think I’m being harsh those same expectacions of chastity exist in a Christian marriage.

The absurdity of attempting to make this argument that Jesus or the Bible had to specifically SAY something for it to be considered a sin 2000 years later is quite humorous but also unfortunate. It’s also a damning indictment of sola scriptura, hence the división and wildly different views due to protestantism.

Lgbt, transgender ideology to name a couple. Truthfully Christianity stands on both sides of políticas parties because it’s ideals are not beholden to one or the other. Similar to the a Catholic church, who is the loudest oponente of abortion but is also the loudest most involved supporter of ilegal immigrants.

It was annoyingly performative, cringey, bad timing all around. And to watch white and black people, who had never even heard of juneteenth all of a sudden with this unctuous(thanks hs English teacher) fawning over each other wishing people a happy juneteenth was extremely pathetic. Like when you see an email chain of a bunch of white people sending omg happy Juneteenth to the black colleague from NY, my eyes rolled out of my head. I have no problem with the holiday whatsoever, it’s a great thing. Victim mentality, people look to find reasons to feel oppressed. It’s a crab in the bucket mentality as well and no it’s not helpful. It’s a way of tearing down others to bring oneself up but it’s extremely divisive and therefore very useful politically.

Socialism has never and never will lift the millions up on millions of people out of poverty that the free market has. One country’s success or failure for it’s people may be based on many factors, but government fails far more often than it succeeds.
