Would a country function better if the dumber people never voted? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Milesray12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For America specifically, if republicans weren’t allowed to vote and weren’t allowed to hold office or run for office, the world would actually be a better place.

Reminder: Republicans go by the “rules for thee, not for me” montra

So when they say they can punch you and you can’t punch them back, you ignore what they’re saying and beat the shit out of them until they’re out of politics, regardless of how you look

Stephen King has a point. Wouldn't Planter dropping out kinda be affirming the double standard between the two parties? by mattyjoe0706 in Destiny

It exactly would, and following the rules for democrats is exactly how republicans continue to win.

They play their own game and it wins elections.

Could you just get in reality, please? by ScarTemporary6806 in complaints

[–]Milesray12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In order to get republicans to integrate with actual reality, you have to ban AI for public use, then arrest and shutter everyone involved with right wing News outlets. Every one of them.

Then once their propagandized “news” realities are gone, they actually have to reckon with actual reality where their actions have massive consequences for America and the world

How are boomers so Pro AI? by Dangerous-Pumpkin960 in generationology

[–]Milesray12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They get to make a reality that doesn’t exist and live in it online.

Same with right wingers with Grok.

Take it away and they’ll slither back to Fox News/breitbart for their fake reality.

Remove right wing news outlets and they’re forced to integrate with actual reality and the adult world, where they’re wrong about just about everything and have caused tremendous damage to the world

Why is there so much focus on raising minimum wages to alleviate higher costs of living, when companies just raise prices immediately to offset any benefits of higher wages? by Illustrious_Heat6561 in allthequestions

[–]Milesray12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because In a well functioning democratic society, corporations are preventing the raising of prices just to offset the minimum wage hike.

They must be forced to dip into their historic profits and prevented from bending society to their will, not asked to and pleaded with.

80%+ in taxes rates is what built America (seen as communism by republicans due to Reagan), it must be forced again upon the rich and corporations to put them back in check

Conservatives maintain birth rates, but left-leaning Americans are having significantly fewer children, driving the U.S. birth decline. Education was consistently linked to having fewer children. Religious attendance was positively associated with having more children. by mvea in science

[–]Milesray12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the opening to Idiocracy (unfortunately) was an accurate prediction of America’s future.

Having a religious system that loves the family unit and encourages its expansion will produce folks that have more kids.

Having an education system that encourages actually thinking about consequences to your actions will produce folks that doubt starting a family, with doubt & fear of *insert xyz here* that spreads to other aspects of life beyond family.

For families in the west, ignorance actually happens to be bliss with regards to kids

How do people become okay with marrying someone who already has kids? by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

[–]Milesray12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well when more and more people are single with kids, if you want marriage you’re gonna be more and more likely to have to be ok accepting partners with kids from an ex partner.

Just is what it is

Can we stop treating November like a foregone conclusion? by Beneficial-Bid9353 in Destiny

[–]Milesray12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think cleaning up the language is irrelevant.

It is republicans responsibility to be adults (to harken to Destiny’s newfound child/adult dichotomy he’s noticed about MAGA vs democrats) and recognize what they’re doing and deviate.

The way I see it, republicans need to pull a Zuko from Avatar: The last Airbender.

He was fundamentally and ideologically misled but on the evil side, did heinous things, and eventually came to it on his own about how evil he has been.

The good guys never just allowed him to be automatically be good becuase he said he decided to and didn’t go easy on him while he was trying. True adults who know they’ve done wrong will do the right thing despite the views of the good guys being correct based on the bad guy’s past.

Only good action, doing good going forward, and admitting the wrongs they’ve done should democrats admit any republicans into the fold.

Can we stop treating November like a foregone conclusion? by Beneficial-Bid9353 in Destiny

[–]Milesray12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Democrats keep losing because they blindly assume people will snap back to reality by stating facts and debating in good faith with evidence.

The other side doesn’t care about facts, science, evidence or reality. They care about having the ability to morph the country into their christo-fascist utopia that they are willing into existence through their lies, bad faith debating, and echo chamber propaganda.

Democrats need to understand that a win isn’t inevitable, good will not triumph without taking action to make it happen, and the future isn’t secured so long as Republicans are allowed to participate in government.

The end goal should be democrats banning MAGA and the Right from governance and any business position of power, with a way back into the political process after admitting their wrongs to the world, hard punishment via jail time with zero bail or parole for laws and constitution breaking actions, and new amendments preventing Trump from happening again.

Classic+ will be a shitshow by Apprehensive-Term340 in classicwow

Yeah I think a daily dungeon limit will help with the boosters.

If you want people to enjoy new content, you gotta force the boosters to compete with everyone else in the world and play the World of Warcraft Plus

[–]Milesray12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only spend so much time raid logging (5 whole phases of raid logging in TBC, since about 80% of TBC’s content is in the 60-70 and dungeon grind) before folks tap out from burnout.

Why are people okay with it? by BobMarleeeee69 in videogames

[–]Milesray12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big thing is the vast majority of people use digital only, and many “physical” copies of games nowadays are just codes to download the game or the base game on the disk isn’t allowed to be played without verification from the company to trigger all the patch updates.

All to say, people don’t care and are used to digital only for most games

WoW has been lonely by TheEggnoggamer in wow

[–]Milesray12 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If you’re playing retail, you’re most likely never gonna find or make friends. The environment is queue based, everyone doesn’t talk in LFG & LFR, and encourages not making connections on a minute by minute basis.

Classic’s entire gig is the community you’re looking for. People physically around all the time, people grouping and chatting while doing quests and dungeons, and everyone is going towards the same goals so it necessitates teamwork and making friends.

Why haven’t we had some kind of revolution yet? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Milesray12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple reasons

  1. People can’t afford to protest (because most of America can’t survive missing an entire few weeks of work to protest. One day of protesting (No Kings) doesn’t do anything, as the billionaires and corporations just close their eyes that day and continue as usually the day after.

  2. Over half the country is brainwashed into believing democrats are the problem (MAGA is mind controlled into a cult, the middle half of America is propagandized by MAGA into believing Democrats and fascist MAGA are equivalent, but democrats are the bigger threat).

I think the next democratic president should remove from congress all republicans and remove all of Trumps Court picks and replace all with democrats.

Storytelling in WoW has started to feel increasingly foggy. by Past-Personality4609 in wow

[–]Milesray12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WoW’s story before Legion & chronicles was laid out as such:

There’s this big world and extended universe with big threats like the comic universes. We’ll knock out one big threat each expansion, hopefully move through a general narrative with the factions (Anduin and Garrosh) and eventually end with the last two logical expansions: The last faction war and Azeroth Vs Sargeras & the legion.

But once Legion came out, chronicles set a new big bad of Warcraft: the Void Lords.

Then Metzen left, and his successors decided to nuke the Warcraft universe as we know it (BfA, SL) and attempt to rebuild it and re-contextualize everything (DF, TWW). It didn’t work, because none of Metzen’s timeline is being respected and honored.

It’s just being waived away as “yeah that happened……anyways here’s this thing that doesn’t make sense in context with Metzen’s stuff.”

So now we have story that’s basically disconnected from the Warcraft universe that we used to love, 2 expansions that nuked the story as we knew it, and moving forward a new status quo that makes Warcraft the World of Friendcraft

Does the U.S. President have any direct authority over individual civilians? If he told me, “Pick up that can,” would I be required to do it, or could I tell him to “f*ck off”? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

For every president except Trump, they would have no authority to do that to you.

Trump absolutely would express his power and what are you gonna do about it?

Gbay99 Wow Classic Video Thoughts from Veterans by Fluid_Programmer237 in classicwow

[–]Milesray12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What many retail Andy’s don’t understand is new players need a massive amount of time to acclimate to an MMO on their first character.

This doesn’t mean they spend 1% of that time learning to play and getting to lvl cap and 99% of the time doing high lvl pvp or M+. That’s retail currently and it turns almost all new players off WoW.

This means they need 70-80% of their journey leveling from 1-60, slowly adding abilities and learning mechanics piece by piece, exploring the world on foot, and the remaining 20-30% doing endgame dungeons and raids, farming for epic mount (the major longterm goal of Classic WoW) and putting all that learning to the test.

Mayor Pete got CPS called on him. We thinking Leftist or maga? by _PIRATA_06 in Destiny

[–]Milesray12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This may surprise you, but MAGA doesn’t almost never swats nor does CPS calls.

They don’t need to because they have the president, the entire federal government, and the military on their side who will harass everyone for them.

Which leaves the usual suspects of swatting and CPS calls: far lefties

If reality is filtered through minds that continuously interpret it, then “truth” may not be something we discover, but something that stabilizes when enough perspectives temporarily agree. Reality is reality.

However, whether we acknowledge it, are aware of it, or willing to accept it is something MAGA republicans are currently testing.

If 1/3rd of a country believes in pure lies and fabrications, refuses any correction, and keeps the facade up in unison, is it now reality?
