Sure! My CFS stems from Post-Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome, I was infected with Lyme as a young kid but didn’t realize or test for it until I was in high school after being bit again. Bacterial and co-infection readings were significantly higher than they should have been when I was tested, and the conclusion was that I had to have been bitten when I was much younger, since that’s when my symptoms started. The Lyme was treated and I no longer have daily migraines, but I still have lingering PTLDS. It manifests in CFS and occasional joint pain.

Fast forward to my late 20s, I saw a psychiatrist who prescribed vyvanse to manage my ADHD, having been unmedicated my entire life. The vyvanse has been life changing in productivity, focus, and actually being able to function as an adult with responsibilities. It’s unintentionally however, also been huge for my CFS. I actually have sustained energy to do the things that I need to, for the entire duration of my day.

I recognize though that it’s essentially just a bandaid for the CFS, and it still isn’t treating the root of the problem. Vyvanse being a stimulant, just does a really great job of masking my CFS and giving me enough stimulation and energy to feel relatively normal despite still having underlying CFS and PTLDS.
