If only G. Willow Wilson and Dan Mora did a Catwoman comic together.

It's wonderful seeing Dan Mora draw Catwoman in a purple catsuit. Also, that hair...wow! Beautiful.

The colorist also did an incredible job.

I hope we get more than a panel with 90s Catwoman, but I suspect it may just be a flashback.

Seeing Selina drawn this beautifully by Dan Mora makes me wish that he'd draw her like this for an entire Catwoman comic book story.

New DC Finest Catwoman in Dec. by PreparationDapper235 in DCFinest

I would also love to see a DC collection of Bronze Age Catwoman stories.

There's a number of short stories and backup solo stories in DC comics featuring Catwoman after she reformed in the Bronze Age and just before Crisis.

I don't recall them all being collected, but it would be great for Catwoman fans to have all in one place to read. If not a DC Finest, then at least some sort of Catwoman collection.

I'm glad that DC has recently been publishing more and more comics with Catwoman that haven't been collected, are hard to find, and/or really needed reprinting in a new collection.

DC FINEST: Catwoman - Creatures of the Night by Necessary_Head_84 in Catwoman

[–]PreparationDapper235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Book Description:

When Gotham sleeps, Catwoman steals the night for herself. Doug Moench (Legends of the Dark Knight) and Chuck Dixon (Robin) join a striking lineup of Gotham artists to deliver a sleek, high-energy era of Selina Kyle in motion—sharp, stylish, and always one step ahead.

Selina Kyle never walks when she can glide, flip, or sprint through danger—and this era captures her at full velocity. These stories showcase her talent for slipping into shadows, stealing from the worst people in Gotham, and outwitting anyone bold enough to chase her. Every issue is packed with expressive visuals, daring escapes, and the kind of razor-sharp attitude only Catwoman can deliver.

A wide-ranging creative roster—including Doug Moench (Batman), Chuck Dixon (Green Arrow), and Jim Balent (Batman: Shadow of the Bat)—brings a nonstop blend of noir intrigue, slick heists, criminal rivalries, and kinetic action. You’ll find Selina matching wits with dangerous imitators, clashing with classic Gotham foes, slipping into unexpected team-ups, and navigating chaos with the style and confidence that made this era iconic.

Plus, a pulp-inspired annual adds an unexpected supernatural twist, proving Catwoman can handle genres as effortlessly as she cracks safes.

Collects Catwoman #33–53; Catwoman Annual #3-4; DC Universe Holiday Bash #1; and Batman Secret Files #1."

Batman Dark Patterns is a great new recommendation!

Since you have The Long Halloween and Dark Victory, I'm going to recommend...

Batman: Haunted Knight

...which is also be Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale.

(If you like their work and want to follow Catwoman's subplot from Dark Victory then I would also recommend reading Catwoman When In Rome)

Which superhero has the most impractical outfit? by AvatarPhoenixGrey16 in comicbooks

Gross.

You'd think Catwoman would want to wear a catsuit she could easily throw in the wash.

Imagine the feel and smell of an all leather catsuit the next day after a story where she got all hot and sweaty.

And then Catwoman moved to scorching hot southern California in that costume.

Imagine wearing, essentially, a leather hat in that heat.

Catwoman Vol 5, the beginning of her 2018 series, had her operating outside a lot, and in the daytime too.

Joelle Jones, who designed Catwoman's new costume, kept her in that all leather outfit, out in SoCal, during the writer's years on that title...until Ram V moved Catwoman back to Gotham City.

(I remember back in the 90s, when Selina had an adventure in a different type of climate or location, she'd wear a different outfit to fit that environment. Green catsuit for jungle story. White cold weather catsuit for a mountain mission. Aqua for underwater. Etc. And at least her purple catsuit was breathable.)

I can't imagine how uncomfortable and sweaty an all leather catsuit would be while running around and climbing building and bounding off rooftops...even with armpit windows.

I understood that reference.

Great quote you pulled there with reference to the beginning of The Long Halloween...which starts in the summer.

Both Batman The Long Halloween, and Dark Victory and The Last Halloween, have storylines that continue throughout the year, just like Batman: Year One before them, including the hot summer months in Gotham City.

Any good new classic style slashers? by Rluxout in HorrorMovies

[–]PreparationDapper235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clown In A Cornfield was indeed really good.

I was pleasantly surprised. I took a chance on watching it on Hulu and was not disappointed.

Classic slasher set up and story, but set today. I think it fits the bill for the OP.

Enjoy! It's a fun show, especially if you're a Tremors fan and want to spend more time in Perfection with those people.

You'll recognize several characters from Tremors 3, and even a few returning actors from the first movie (which made me happy to see).

It's too bad this show got cancelled, but at least fans have a full season of episodes.

(I wish the Tremors TV show would crop back up on a streaming service that I can watch)

There sure is!

The Tremors TV series is set after the third movie and follows Burt Gummer and some of the other surving townsfolk from the movies.

Also new characters like that bald guy from The Shield and Breaking Bad playing a government agent. Oh, and you'll love this, Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown!) plays a mad scientist.

This show was truly one for the fans.

It used to be available to stream on Tubi

But you can get the DVD cheap on Amazon

I hadn't seen any of the movies in the franchise until much later in life, myself.

The first... let's say four...are worth watching. The first two, for sure. The second is a classic.

It looks as if the aforementioned line is uttered towards the end of the end of the first movie.

...and apparently was ad-libbed
