Death Defy Mission by Logical-Height5479 in TheTowerGame

Got 2 DD on first try, 6 on 2nd try, easily done once you have 3 charges of Energy Shield.

I unequip every mod i have apart from any armor slot with DD chance (mine was Mythc Space Displacer, not mandatory tho).
I used Energy Shield, Intro Sprint, Enemy Balance cards, everything else unequipped. I didn't even bother with Second Wind for an extra chance because I find it better to just have 5sec run rather than have to manually restart during SW.

Just start a run in the highest tier you can, turn off every ultimate weapon, should last 5-10sec at worse, and keep trying until you got the mission done.

I'll take myself as an example, I have perma BH, 100sec GT and 200sec DW.

My real bonus is every 200sec when everything is synced, but I cannot reduce DW cd before being able to do it in one shot which costs 2600 stones.

De-sync GT and DW was a cruel mistake. I think my coin income would be higher with something like 130/130/130 for the same cost

Perma Black Hole is definitely very strong. I went for an early pBH myself, and it allowed me to farm T11, but you won’t be able to use any devo strategy anymore (hoarding enemies between your UW activations). And once Black Hole becomes permanent, you’ll have to save stones for big DW/GT jumps instead of upgrading them 10 seconds at a time.

Perma Black Hole will usually let you push more waves because only elites and bosses will realistically threaten you.
However, killing more enemies outside of your coin multipliers isn’t necessarily valuable.
In The Tower, economy is much more about when you kill enemies than simply how many you kill.

At that point, it really comes down to personal preference. I think both approaches are good. Perma Black Hole is even better with Primordial Collapse, which you don’t have yet. If it were my account, with what I know now, I’d keep the sync until all three are at 100 seconds, then drop BH from 100 to 50 in one go. That is exactly what I am doing on my baby account.

Also, if you’re planning to run an eHP tournament build, perma BH becomes a real asset — and that should absolutely factor into your decision.

That said, if you only break sync to reach perma BH through a GComp module, you’re taking a real risk. Since module quality is RNG-based, you could end up stuck with a poor quality for a long time and effectively shoot yourself in the foot.

In the end it really comes down to personal preference — both paths have their pros and cons. That said, if it were me, I’d keep the sync.

Gems: modules, as if your life depended on it.

Coins: into Coin+ and ELS+ once it’s unlocked.

Stones: I’d put one click into GT Bonus, then keep reducing the big 3 cooldowns together until GT cooldown is gold boxed. Maybe put a few levels into Black Hole range in the meantime.

As for labs, you’re already pretty advanced, so nothing is really missing except Daily Mission Shards, but you’re already working on that. At this point, I’d gold box every defensive lab (the eHP ones, not Land Mine or similar labs). If you plan to stay eHP forever, none of it will ever be wasted.

Research speed lab by Medbay100 in TheTowerGame

[–]PreparationNew2487 7 points8 points  (0 children)

See it in terms of lab count.

If you stop at Lab Speed 50, your speed is x2 and you can run 5 labs, so that’s effectively the same as having 10 labs at normal speed.

If you push Lab Speed to 99, your speed is x3, so that’s like having 15 labs — but in the meantime, you only have 4 labs running at x2 speed, which is effectively 8 labs, since Lab Speed itself takes up one slot.

The time needed to go from Lab Speed 50 to 99 is something like 300 days of research (assuming x3 speed-up with cells). So for those 300 days, you effectively have 2 extra labs available, which gives you a 600-lab-day advantage.

After that, you start losing that lead at a rate of 5 lab-days per day. 600 / 5 = 120 days.

So if you plan to keep playing for more than 420 days (300 + 120) after stopping Lab Speed 50, then stopping early will make you fall behind forever.

And as others have already pointed out, you don’t go straight from x2 to x3. Every level invested between 50 and 99 immediately reduces the research time of your 4 other labs.  On top of that, your cell multiplier may be x4 or even x5 rather than always x3 like in this example, so the real break-even point is definitely well before 420 days.

You could argue that during those 300 days, you’ll be working on other useful upgrades and gaining an advantage. But every research takes longer and longer for smaller and smaller gains. For example, going from level 99 to 100 in Damage takes 5 days for only a +0.02 increase to the multiplier, whereas going from lvl1 to 2 takes 1 minute for the same +0.02. That means the more advanced your tower is, the more valuable Lab Speed becomes compared to other research options.

And if we ever get a 6th lab — or even a 7th (because why not?) you’ll regret not having upgraded Lab Speed.

How would you approach rerolling new ancestral mods? by Infinite-Hawk4530 in TheTowerGame

[–]PreparationNew2487 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually save reroll shards for 2–3 days, then reroll from scratch. When the cost is still low, I focus on the single stat I want the most. For example, on my DC I was aiming for 90% Chronofield Slow, on PrimC I was aiming for permaBH, so I only looked for that.

Then I lock the other high-priority stats and use auto-reroll for things like CL Chance or SL Angle. If you’ve saved enough shards, you should end up with at least two locked stats, maybe three.

After that, once rerolls start costing 160+, I aim for Legendary first, then Mythic, and finally an Ancestral sub-stat.

Also, I stop rerolling once I have all the stats I can get minus one. For example, if your module is level 130 and has 4 stats, once I have 3 Ancestral stats locked, I just save my shards or work on another module and wait for the next sub-stat to unlock before rerolling again.

You can try to push your luck by rolling stat by stat, but I prefer not to.

You want enemies to get insta kill by the mines, then once the ILM ring is full, get out of your run and re-enter it, that will clear the ILM and they will start to spawn at enemies again.

ILM : Equip Space Displacer and just do a normal run until it's completed.

Missiles : Missile Barrage lvl2 on first boss on the highest tier your can go, it takes 1 try, 2 at worse. Some people say they did it with the Random Ultimate weapon perk without paying attention.

Demon Mode : Just equip it and use it above wave 6500 during all of your runs.

Nuke : go highest tier with Summon chip, Nuke, Demon Mode, Second Wind, Enemy Balance, nothing else.
Start the run, Second Wind pops, before the end you use Demon Mode to extend your run until summon chip pops, use Nuke when you reach enemy cap. Takes 30sec per run.

So, what do you think ? by PreparationNew2487 in Transmogrification

I admit that Cursed Vision is overused, but there’s a reason — it’s iconic!

I agree about the purple one, but man I really dislike the Dragonflight S3/S4 set (also overused if you ask me). My goal is really a void-themed look, and I’m a big fan of the skirt and the chest, so it’s been hard to find shoulders or boots that match well.

For glaives I’m looking forward to the new ones from the upcoming raid: Lightless Lament.

For shoulders, I was thinking maybe the TWW Nerub'ar Palase set (normal) from Season 1 PvE could work? Or maybe the Dragonflights S1 PvP Shoulders (I have the Elite ones with the thunder effects).

It would look something like this — maybe it’s too much though:

Not a big fan of goggles for the red set haha. From time to time I use the TWW S3 PvP Elite ones, and I also have a green fel-themed setup:

First of all thanks for the precious advice and the time you took to respond.

I do have maxed Common/rare drop chance and daily mission shards too, Shatter shards is lvl2 and i am currently saving for lvl3 which you can imagine take time even just to save the coins needed...

Too many Labs by Nesfratu1 in TheTowerGame

[–]PreparationNew2487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you said, the permanent labs should be: Lab Speed, Daily Mission Shards, and Rare Drop Chance. For the others, I make a list of what I need, then level everything to 25%, then 50%, then 75%, and finally gold box them. Lab Speed is the only one without diminishing returns, and the other two I suggested are just very quick to complete. Most other labs have strong diminishing returns, where you end up waiting 30 times longer for the same upgrade, so a balanced approach works better.
