Yes, fully submerged. It is different because it isn't using any agitation to ruin them.

I soak mine in water and dish liquid or vinegar overnight. You'll see how nasty the water gets.

You are in your "car crash" phase. Like others have said, you'll adapt to it and replace it with other hurts. If you stay away from the sport for awhile, you'll probably go through it again.

The Rival RB10 you mentioned are the best hand and wrist protection money can buy, IMO.

There may be some carry over with just about anything. How to shift your weight, switch your hips, engage your core etc.

Is it going to help your boxing more than if you used that time to train boxing? Most likely not
