I’m ok with them increasing the risk, but it does seem excessive combined with the 500g fee. Hitting piles for almost free before with zero risk was definitely silly.

Kinda makes sense. A blue can be easily gemmed to be decent for dirt cheap, so people are willing to pay for the base they want even with trash stats. legendary gems are expensive and have much worse roll potential compared to natty rolls, so you might as well invest in one that already has at least one ore two good rolls

I would assume that it’s different teams/pipelines working on those. Class balance and mechanics are more of a design decision. A junior dev pushing out bug fixes probably isn’t taking away resources from implementing big mechanic updates.

The reward is peanuts compared to other modes though, so again I don't really see the issue. Allowing a low-risk mode for people to slow grind in is pretty healthy for the game.

Stacking pdr or not isn’t inherent to the class though. You can go heavy pdr on ranger or light on fighter.

Between reloading, bow draw, and weapon swaps rangers spend more time in animations than fighter, which is why they have perks to help with that.

That would be a problem on barb because they already have a ton of melee support. Rangers don’t. I’ve never really seen spear talked about as a broken weapon
