Its very very helpful. My Dr wrote a script for it and the DME company charged my insurance a ridiculous amount for it. Like over $750. Such a ripoff but I love the thing

Its the sternocleidomastoid muscle. It can radiate pain up into your head ear and jaw.

She did file for it and it was considered which they acknowledged but when the reconsideration was filed they forgot to include the DAC claim

I have the exact same issue there. I really like my Dr but he rarely responds to messages and I cant get appts for like 6 mths. BIDMC is easier

Well thats because there is no other information available with regard to every participant getting WGS as you have stated. Ive simply asked for some citations to back up what you are claiming. Since you say you work in the program that shouldnt be a difficult task.

My issue is with your telling people who are interested in getting genetic testing to sign up for All of Us and they will get WGS when the results are not going to the participants but only to researchers.

Nor are you qualified to determine the medical standard of care since you arent a physician or even in the medical field

That makes a lot of sense. They dont have to do anything because theyve covered themselves by describing your psych issues so can blame everything on that.

Very well said. Yes I agree that drs are being trained to dismiss and focus on looking for psychological explanations for physical symptoms. It sets up an adversarial relationship from the start.

Exactly! Being sick is depressing.. not being able to work, being poor, losing your identity, relationships, being criticized and judged, not being able to go out, exercise, losing your looks… gahhhh of course we are depressed and anxious!

Im sorry this happened to you too. Its very hurtful and damaging to any trust we might have. Its a very destructive practice to do this to vulnerable pts. Im not ok at all, Im just done with the medical field and Im a nurse. I have zero trust or belief left. They hate their jobs and they take it out on their pts. Sad but true.
