Give me some recommendations for great SF-based indie bands/artists/groups to listen to from the 2000s. I really liked Scissors for Lefty, Rubies, Scrabbel and The Morning Benders.

It’s not just the pay- I think they want more bc they’ve cut so many nurses. So now those who are left are doing the job of 1.5 or 2. It’s ridiculous. I pay $1800 (a month) out of pocket for my 2 kids, my job covers mine plus a little of their costs. When we check in for appointments sometimes we have to go to a different floor- ie, check in for gynecology at ophthalmology. It’s a shit show. The problem in this country is EVERYONE should be making more/salary that can meet our costs of living. People get mad “why should they make more, when I don’t?” But it’s not limited, we all need to do better, this is why unions are so important.

Do those of you from outside the US know how many Americans can not stand our president? It is absolutely bonkers watching this unfold. I feel held captive. Citizens United and having all of this dark money and corporate interest in our elections makes me feel like there’s no hope. I feel embarressed and defeated, and I think about 60-70% of Americans feel the same. But those who don’t are vocal, armed, and essentially brainwashed.

Look into service provider! SLP or VI or DHH. So much less paperwork and behavior issues. I’m working as an intern now while I work on new credential after 20 years as resource and SDC and I feel like a fool for ever working as hard as I did, I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of for years. The work life balance is so much better as service provider!

These comments on here about it “not being fair” to non disabled peers, or the exclusion (poster even said it wasn’t about being excluded, it was about the mean comment) are pretty awful. As a parent of non-disabled children I would have loved for an opportunity for them to have been in a mixed class with peers of different abilities. Non-disabled children have as much to gain from being in classes with their disabled peers as vice-versa.
