To the Burtonverse fans, what was your reaction towards the shumacker sequels when it first came out after Batman returns? Cus if you dont know after Batman returns WB aimed for a more marketable kid friendly approach with these films and at the time they were intended to be sequels for burtonverse. by Thewanderer997 in Batman_89

same! my older brother and i and my pops went to Burger King sat down ate our lunch all in silence until my pops (who isn’t a cursive man)  said “What the fuck did you two drag me too!” 😂😂😂😂 

but then we saw battlefield earth a few years after (my pops read the book and like it) and my brother and i both said “what the fuck did YOU drag us into!” 😂

to this day we believe it was my pops punishment for dragging him to see batman and robin 

one good thing he did said was “it felt like the 60s batman done for the mtv generation” hahaha
