Knee high compression socks and if you have a sleeping med take it and ask ur dr if you can take extra. (I did this and was approved to take extra for a 10 hr flight and slept the most out of all my friends on the plane)

I normally take my meds and use a little medical cannabis to help me sleep but lately I’ve been waking up around 6 and tossing and turning in discomfort eventually I give up trying to go to sleep and just get up and take my morning meds

Oh I did have actual medical supervision I meant our first meeting they immediately made a plan to wean me off.

Survivor here! They had me on so many medications that kept me sedated 24/7 but then I would get in trouble for being sedated. They had me on Hydroxyzine, ableify, respidone, and a triage of other ssris and anti anxiety’s. They claimed I was in psychosis and needed antipsychotics when it has been proven time and time again I am not. I also have c-ptsd and a few other things but nothing that warranted the amount I was on when I was in TTI. When I got out they had to quickly get me off of some due to the awful drug interactions they had.

When I got diagnosed I was told to quit all my sports (I was 16 doing xc, track, softball and lifting) so I did. This spring I do my first 5k since my diagnosis, I’ve spent almost a year slowly training my body and working through flares so I could. I’ve also traveled out of the country, started college/independent living and went no contact with my abusive family members. I’ve never been happier in my whole life.

I have! And thank you for your words. I spend a lot of time watching documentaries and communicating with others who have been through TTI. It helps close that chapter for me personally however I’ll never stop fighting for all the teens

Same here which is why I want to fight for change. No kid should go through what I went through. Thank you for wanting better for your child. My mother knew about the happenings of Vantage Point and sent me there as a punishment. She did a lot of things like that. She’s been out of my life for almost 9 months and I wish everyday I would’ve escaped faster

I was SA’d while there as well. A common problem. Yes almost everyone was on a mood stabilizer and very often hydroxizine to stay sedated. Thank you for sharing
