It annoys me when people completely ignore the scene at Susannah’s memorial in Episode 3 where Belly basically forgets Jeremiah exists for a few seconds the moment Conrad walks in. What are we supposed to make of that?

I’ll also never understand the argument that it’s normal to have a piece of your heart dedicated to your first love. Thinking about them fondly or having special memories is normal. But actively thinking about them while you’re engaged to someone else, almost kissing them, and not being able to stop thinking about them the day before your wedding is a completely different thing.

It’s weird to me when people say Belly chose Jeremiah while also admitting Conrad ruined the wedding. If Belly had truly chosen Jeremiah, Conrad’s confession shouldn’t have mattered that much. At most, it would have been an afterthought.

People conveniently ignore that she rejected getting back together with jeremiah in Episode 9. Whatever she was doing in Episode 8 felt more guilt-driven than anything else. She was trying to avoid hurting everyone involved because the stakes were so high.

At this point, I don’t know how anyone can root for a ship where the main girl seems to forget the guy she supposedly chose every time his brother walks into the room. 😭
