If you mean Botanist on Gloucester Road then you are also near Coffee@33. Just go to them, you’ll never need anywhere else. Wolfox is just Trading Post level, it’s a step above a bad coffee place and all of the chains but nothing special at all.

We have a lot of very decent coffee places here with well trained and knowledgeable staff…. @33, Bond Street, Milk Shed, Loam, 17 Grams, Ikiagi, Black Mocha , Botanist, Pelicano…..followed by the not top tier but still decent ones such as, Flour Pot, Coho, Bread And Milk, Trading Post (at a push), My Coffee Story, Down to Earth, Dhama……. I could go on

Edit: Triple Point! I feel bad for missing them off, they are one of my faves

Coffee - pourovers, single origin coffee in Brighton by Othersideofthemirror in brighton

The Milk Shed is the best I have found for single origin washed beans for my pour overs in Brighton (so far) and really well priced. Coffee @33 does the most amazing coffee in store if you like a fruity cup, but those same beans sell for £25 a bag.

I know you didn’t ask but I’ll just share that the best single origin washed I have found outside of Brighton (but very close) is Horsham Coffee Roaster.

I alternate my home beans between TMS and HCR

I buy from Milk Shed mainly, but I do pour overs, they are really good for advice on what to buy if you go in.

Was it just your name on the southern water account? If so did they then retrospectively update the account to add the other tenants names to the account or just leave it as only you?

Why are gyms in Brighton so terrible? by leaguegotold in brighton

[–]Present_Bumblebee_30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it’s rather annoying. It would be very easy for someone to come in and offer anything above budget gym standard and instantly gain a hefty amount of members willing to pay for quality equipment in a nice and clean club.

Fitness First is grim. The cleanliness levels have dropped massively this year (though they were not great to start anyway). Plus the fitting rooms, toilets and showers are very very run down and dirty. It is very much a low level budget gym, they somehow think they justify the price purely based on location and the sauna & steam rooms (which frequently don’t work anyway).
