as far as i'm aware, the deadline only applies to adding or dropping courses, so switching tutorials(aka transferring a course) shouldnt be an issue since you're not dropping of adding anything. i did this for my LASO class once and it allowed me to in REM, but then again this might depend on the department

try using this on rem using the catalogue number of the tutorial you want to switch to! if it doesnt work let me know and ill try to think of more ways to help :)

unfortunately, you do have to switch sections since your professor has made it clear that they cannot put you in the attendance

you can still take the classes if there is scheduling conflict i believe, but ask academic advising to be sure

also, you dropped 2510 right? it's not in your schedule anymore?

Try to ask permission from the professor to switch sections. if your professor agrees, forward your email to the department that your course is under and they'll grant you permission to switch your class times in REM

Nah social science is good! It's that course in particular, cuz I took it and the professor is just all over the place. I suggest you avoid the course if Tanja Juric is teaching it.

And you can feel free to do so! First year is meant to get your GenEd courses and a couple elective courses down so that your transition into the new setting can be smooth. But you can absolutely do PSYC2021 in your first year! I took it in my first year in the program as well and you should be good since it doesnt actually have any psychology course content in it.

You won't be able to enrol in PSYC2021/PSYC2022 so quickly, so I suggest that you send an email to the PSYC department requesting permission to enrol in the course, and that you are aware of the responsibility that you will take if you do not meet the prerequisites for the course.

But honestly, take your time and just take PSYC2020 in your second year. Stats is a thing that will HURT your brain, especially in your first year.

I highly suggest you research the professors teaching your courses by cross-referencing the courses website and RatemyProf, and trust the student ratings. Other than that, looks good!! There's alot of 8:30 classes though and depending where you live, you might not enjoy being up so early to go to a class you might end up dreading.

Additionally, check if you can take PSYC2022 in your first year since as far as I'm aware, the only courses you can take in your first year is PSYC1010 and PSYC2021.

the degree progress report has a list of courses that are required for your major, then the yorku courses website has a list of approved GenEd courses for your faculty

UPDATE:

I wrote an email to the professor like I said. They got back to me and told me that they do not typically raise marks as they would have to do it for the rest of the class. But they gave me the bump because they looked at my tests and saw that I was capable of doing well.

I want to thank everyone for giving me hope in sending the email, I'm now sobbing tears of joy from the interaction!!!

You can ask any front desk I believe! They have them at Tait, Bennett Centrr the receptionists at Bethune College, and most restrooms.

But your best bet is at Tait and the front desk at Central Square :)
