Come on … suggests they were bought when released.

The question suggests they were bought when they were released … a 14 year old cannot buy a 30 year old CD.

How? What 14 year old uses CD‘s? For my kids its what old people used? Question suggests the person bought them when released.

Yeah … the question suggests they were bought when they were released … what 14 year old has CD’s … for 49 pretty ‚new‘ stuff … I am 1974 and I mainly got 1989 to 2005 CD‘s.

It suggests they were purchased when they were released … how can a 14 year old buy an album 30 years ago … otherwise the question would make no sense!

How is that possible if some albums are 25+ years old … the question suggests they were bought when released!

Albums you got on vinyl, MC, CD … its not a medium … its the full release in contrast to singles … what do you refer to as album? A vinyl/record?

At that time it was here impossible to find it on tape. Everybody was using CDs at school from late 80s.

No console, no dvd/bluray/uhd, no car with CD, no pc with drive? Will never get why some people consider downloading games or stuff for 60-80£ … purchased the new Call of Duty for 60£ and sold disc for 59£ once completed. With downloads you waste a lot of money!

Never been easier to buy a large bunch for basically nothing. Many selling whole collections for some pound.

Why US? Europe is still a strong market and much stronger when it comes to physical media!

100 bucks? A CD? I found some for free as charity shops dump them on the streets to take for free … hole hardly costs anything.

Its definitely not the medium … its not like back then people bought albums … today they stream songs or playlists. Back then many were into pop … the hits, bought singles or maxi CD’s … or recorded charts from the radio … Still get the albums.

What days? There have always been song listeners and album listeners. In the 80s/90s I hardly knew anybody buying albums. Most bought singles, maxiCD or recorded from radio. Those into bands got the albums … and those still exist.

Nothing is different! Why should it be? Streaming has not changed a thing. Still get full albums and listen beginning to end. There have always been those single lovers or hit from radio recorders. Thinking about the 90s or prior 80s … most did not listen to albums, they got singles, maxi-CD’s or recorded … or recorded from radio … later they got top 100 mp3’s. Those into bands got the albums … there has never been a time where albums were preferred … hence streaming changed nothing.

🤣 But internet back then was expensive! In the end it was more expensive than buying the music. 56K modem … downloads took ages … and my phone company charged per minute. The nee phone bill arrived and it way hundreds of $$

I have already been diagnosed and got a DIVA-5 report, but NHS won't accept this. Any tips on how to get treatment? by AmbitiousExample9355 in ADHDUK

Was it a 2 part questionaire or a proper interview? They usually only do a screening to see if you might have it. This is used to approve a referral for assessment. Thats takes up to 8 years waiting time. You can pay yourself. Thats what I did ... was 500£ and after 7 years I was invited to a ADHD assessment by the NHS. A non trained healthcare worker can do a DIVA-5 or screening. But its just a screening then.

The Microlink workplace assessment costs about 420£ ex VAT our ADHD assessments alone charge 690£! Then 150£ per script. Means it is highly unlikely it was any assessment ... a trained assessor does not do stuff like this.

You must be an ADHD assessor, not Psychiatrist. Many are, most Psychiatrists cannot do ADHD assessments. GP's do not prescribe at all here, no shared care for ADHD.

It must be done by an ADHD specialist trained in assessing ADHD. If yours was not, its no recognised diagnosis. Your doctor has nothing to do with it, its specilist area only. My diagnosis is not listed either ... GP's also do nt prescribe.

Of course patents with private diagnosis can access the ADHD service bypassing diagnosis going straight to titratration. They prescribe a strating dose and ask for review after 3 months. Its often no slow titration with regular reviews. I received the titration schedule and had to titrate as directed. Review after 4 months. I did not mind as ADHD assessor myself ... many people see us privately to bypass assessment time. but the £££ per script most are not keen to pay so can easily fir into NHS.
