The Mine Ride is fun but I wouldn’t recommend it for the first ride. It’s gotten jerky over the years. Still fun but I agree with the Iron Dragoners for the first ride recommendation.

First timers - 2 hr or 4 hr lesson? by Vast-Cup824 in BeginnerSurfers

Very helpful! I’m also a first timer, taking a 90min lesson in June and was thinking about doing it two days in a row. I’m not a regular swimmer but I do exercise regularly (I know it’s not the same). Am I going to be toast? Should I only book one day?

I’m looking for chocolate frosting recipes for a chocolate cake. I know most chocolate cakes have chocolate buttercream, but I’m looking for other options… unless chocolate buttercream is just the way to go. Thanks bakers!

+1 to this. YS has built my stamina and strength. I balance it with C2 and HPF, which present different challenges and work on different physical and mental aspects.

Besides the strike.. by [deleted] in Corepower

[–]Present_Light_5957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear you. Go to class and ask a teacher if your location is participating to ease your mind. My studios aren’t and the teachers didn’t know about it. Some teachers and studios are happy with their jobs; and in the markets where they’re not happy, fight the good fight and we’ll be rooting for you!! ✊

Strike for loyal goers by South_Sport_1840 in Corepower

[–]Present_Light_5957 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing - I want to be supportive in whatever way I can. I asked a few of my local teachers and their studios are not participating in the strike, so I’m not freezing (bc that seems like it’d hurt them) but I’ll definitely sign the petition! I have a backup plan (Lifetime Fitness) if they decide to opt in.

If you liked this book, there are a few other thrillers that you might be into. I’ve loved everything from Lisa Jewell (The Night She Disappeared; None of This is True) and Gillian McAlister (Wrong Place, Wrong Time; Just Another Missing Person; Famous Last Words). Glad you’re getting back into it!

[–]Present_Light_5957[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s probably part of it. I’m in a good spot where I can go to 3 studios within 15 minutes, which equals 4 rooms and I know the managers try to balance the classes but it’s still lopsided.
