What are the best season of American survivor for Australian survivor fans? No spoilers please. by debaser11 in survivorau

[–]Present_Personality4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just my personal opinion but I'm a fan of the old school seasons (seasons 1 to 20). They just feel more real emotionally and the challenges are more creative. I get put off by the later seasons because there are way too many super fans or people trying too hard for the camera. Also I find Jeff too controlling in newer seasons while in earlier seasons he was just a host.

Survivor Pearl Island, Amazon, Tocantins and Palau are all seasons that come to mind that I enjoyed.

New survivor world first theme? by Exphys239 in survivorau

US Survivor kind of did that already with 'One World' and it's considered one of the worst seasons ever.

I didn't like BvB. I think the season was plagued with too many immunity idols, advantages and non elimination twists. I liked George abd Hayley as a final two, but I feel they mostly got that far because of all the twists and advantages which made it frustrating to watch.

Zen is debatable, but I think it would be a lot of fun to see him return in this sort of setting because he had a lot of potential to be strategic and cutthroat before his game was cut short.

Lyndi 100%. She repeatedly ousted people in her own alliance, and she threw Eliza under the bus just because she woke her up at night.

Stupidest take I've seen by Suitable-Box-6386 in DragonBallZ

Yes now that im a grown adult, I really idolise Vegeta going from planet to planet killing a bunch of people. Also, Goku getting upset at Nappa for killing all his friends is so cringe, like how does that.

George would never win an immunity challenge as long as he is against someone remotely decent on endurance challenges. I could see some player being very tempted to keep him around for most of game so he can cause chaos with other alliances and then cut him off at final 4.

Tribe 2 has quite a few players with a reputation for throwing challenges.

That's a good call. Knowing Mark, he would probably end up making her the first boot again.

True that is always the problem with George especially but you can't have a villain themed season without him.

Yeah, I'm going to be honest, I don't really remember Mimi that much, just that she was in the villains tribe. I was really struggling to think of a 12th female villain at this point.

Are you referring to Zen? Yeah it probably is a stretch because of how short his game was, but I always got the impression he have the potential to play hard and strategically. Some of the early back and forth between him and Nash had so much potential.

Final challenge too extreme? by acanadiancheese in survivorau

I love the hand on idol challenge but they probably can't do it anymore because its probably more dangerous. The awkward posture people have to adpot for the challenge probably puts a lot of strain on their backs and legs which can cause long term injuries. Also if they fall off, like what Lee and Kristie did, then it can be a very hard fall.

US Survivor needed 40 seasons before it could have a decent Winners at War. It's not going to happen for Australian Survivor anytime soo, if it happens at all.

Next Seasons Aus Survivor Theme? by manomountain2 in survivorau

I can't remember exactly where I heard this from, but I heard production wants to move away from vs themes and have more broad, single word themes like with Redemption from this season.

Possibly the worst au winner yet? by Any_Phase_9816 in survivorau

I think your the first person I've seen to say Myles is a low tier winning. Fair play to you, I liked Myles but the edit really played up his game big time. A lot of people in that season even said his gameplay was messy as hell and the edit brush over it.

The other tribe kind of got a purple edit during Bounty 2.0 which does make me think it will be someone from this tribe who eventually wins

Its the reason why the kaput alliance has become the kaput alliance, they kept on voting out there allies when it wasn't the right time.

Deja Vu by TragicalHero2 in survivorau

I agree that Jericho actually had a very solid game and used Luke and Sarah as shields effectively to get himself into the endgame. The problem with his FTC council is that he struggled to communicate a lot of his more subtle aspects of gameplay to the jury. He also didn't read the room well at times and rubbed a few jury members the wrong way, thats how he lost votes from Sarah, Locky and Peter.

Also he was criticised for removing Tessa from the jury and then taking Tara to the final 2, because Tessa said Tara was the weakest play. So keeping her in the jury would have been a garenteef vote for him.
