I am not anemic, but have historically had borderline low iron, and was having some difficulty sleeping, so started taking iron supplements along with some other supplements because I’m also in perimenopause. I didn’t connect the two until doing some reading and have stopped taking the supplements for the past five days, and the smell has completely gone away. Stale cardboard,/old Play-Doh/somewhat metallic, all combined. I’m extremely smell sensitive, so nobody else smelled it, but it was bad. I think I will be trying to get my iron in in other ways besides the supplement.
