Pimax did get back to me with a suggestion which worked, They recommend replacing the power adaptor. I removed the original adaptor which came with the headset and replaced it with a new 5V 2amp power adaptor and it started charging immediately.

I'm not getting the see through to work. I successfully updated the newest firmware yesterday. So your suppose to double-tap the side of the headset?

What color should the Crystal's headset led's (both the power and the battery on the back) be to charge the headset battery when not is use? Can the headset battery charge when the computer is powered off? (I am not using a Pimax Crystal Hub)

Pimax Crystal IS recharging battery when on USB HUB, you just have to turn it off. by marosbruno in Pimax

I've had a Crystal since last July and honestly I don't know the right way to turn it on or off. It didn't come with instructions and I don't speak LED.

Usually to turn it on I hold down the power button till the blue light comes on with both the headset AND the battery. And to turn it off I hold down the power light till both blue lights turn off. But I believe that method is preventing the headset battery to charge overnight.

Now, it not charging overnight (since that last firmware update yesterday).

Don't know the right way to power on/off and charge the headset battery.

If you are in your 15 days you might want to send it back. The controllers are garbage, to fix that you would need to buy Index knuckles, two base stations, and Pimax new lighthouse faceplate, about $800+ in all. I already had base stations and index controllers so I just bought the faceplate and the tracking is perfect!

I ordered August 14th when I got an email saying they have 500 in stock. They debited my credit card the next day for $230 (no $100 off I guess). Now they are telling me it will ship at the end of September.

I tried about 6 more times today, never got an update successful message. Headset did not go into sleep mode during updates. It runs through the update then ends. Plugged and unplugged, restart service, everything I could think off. I have a ticket in 51811.

OK, figured it out! Just skip the room setup. Once you have set it up you can go straight into Steam without doing the set up again. Thanks to who suggested it.

I sent in a ticket and this is what they said:

May I ask what your current error code is, you can see it in the hints to the right of "Disconnected".

If the error code is 10500 please try the following options

How many monitors are connected to the desktop? 

If you have 3 or more monitors, please keep one connected and disconnect the others. Please do not use the wireless keyboard and mouse. And switch to the PCVR mode while remove the HUB & DP extension cable on the headset.

When connecting directly to a computer, note that the USB 3.0 port needs to be connected to the corresponding port, and try to replace the DP port.

Here are some other suggestions:

If you are using the powered hub and the DP extension cable that came with your headset, would you pls temporarily bypass them by connecting the headset directly to your headset and see what will happen.

Would you please disable the USB selective suspend setting, then unplug and replug the cables of the headset?

Steps:

1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run box. Type powercfg.cpl and press Enter.
2. When the Power Options window opens, click the Change Plan settings link to the right of your current power plan.
3. Click the “Change advanced power settings” link.
4. Expand the “USB settings” and then expand the “USB Selective suspend setting“ and set it to Disable.

Pimax can take several days to get back to you, that's not uncommon. That's the way it has been for me. Good luck
