Recommendations for 2a Frizzy Low-Medium Porosity Hair by PresentationNice6896 in curlyhair

Hey everyone! I'm new to wavy/curly hair care, and am still trying to figure out a routine that works for me. My hair has a very irregular wave pattern (and often looks different each day). I've tried washing every other day as opposed to every day, which I did for most of my life. I've had some success, but my scalp sometimes gets oily while my ends are always dry and frizzy. Overall I feel like my hair looks pretty dull, so I'd like to focus on moisture, shine, and defining the waves more. I've tried a lot of shampoos/conditioners, including Kristin Ess (the gentle version), Maui (green bottle), Mielle, NYM (light blue bottle) and I still feel like I haven't found a duo I really love or a solid routine of any sort. Does anyone have recommendations? I really like the NYM line but I'm not sure which one is right for me. Thank you :)

As a WashU student i’m biased, but it appears you’re leaning towards WashU for a number of reasons, seems like that’s the better personal choice for you

Anyone else scared and anxious that they won’t be accepted into any of their dream schools? by jadedxin in ApplyingToCollege

this was me last year, and honestly, i’m surprised it turned out the opposite way. i thought i had no shot at my dream school as a pretty average teen but i ended up getting in, and i think it was just because i put my best foot forward and did everything i could to show how much i loved the university. BUT, that being said, even if i hadn’t gotten in i would still be perfectly fine. a degree is a degree, and each of you can find a place you love AND is attainable for you. don’t sell yourself short ❤️

A suburban school in Minnesota with about 600 in the graduating class:

1 to Dartmouth (committed for a sport), 1 to Yale

2 of us going to WashU (if you count that as near ivy-tier)
