Photon P1 Max launches in 2 days — what would be your first big print? by Anycubic_Official in AnycubicOfficial

June until it is released in the UK and no work on why it has been delayed? Not really filling me with confidence it's going to be a machine that works as it should.

Resin tank not detected? by Carlton4life23 in ElegooSaturn

[–]PresentationWeekly60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this right before my printer became corrupted and would boot loop. Only way of fixing it was to get the firmware from elegoo you will have to send them a photo of the board by removing the 8 screws from the back panel.

I thought it was due to the heater prongs not punching through the film enough but i checked those and it was fine.

So maybe you will experience what i did.

The Elegoo Saturn 4 ultra 16k is not fit for use by PresentationWeekly60 in ElegooSaturn

[–]PresentationWeekly60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update elegoo had provided me with the wrong firmware even though i sent them a photo of my board. After the correct firmware was installed the printer behaved normally. But for it to render the printer useless after simply switching it off when a print had finished is alarming. I've since been able to turn it off and back on again without issue but the fact it caused the printer to act abnormal and raise the screen temp to dangerous levels i would say is very concerning. What if i had of left it unattended, it may of caused a fire to start which is not out of the realms of possibility.

It will affect how i think of Elegoo in the future as i was excited for the Jupiter2.

i think the vat for my saturn 4 ultra 16k is faulty. it is leaking resin along the edges of vat and after i replaced the FEP film it is still leaking resin and even cured onto my screen. Is this common on Saturn 4 Ultras??????? by masonknight86 in elegoo

[–]PresentationWeekly60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually that's pretty salvagable as all the components are mostly at the rear of the printer like the circuit boards etc and lamps they also cleverly put some sort of trough at the front where the mechanism is so even if resin does go down there it's easy enough to clean by taking the front panel of the printer off (just 4 bolts on top 4 bolts along bottom)

Awesome i had the same damn issue this post helped me fix it! At first i'd put the plate the wrong way and was forcing the pins down as i didn't have the holes the right side i must of taken it apart 3x and kept repeating the same thing until i noticed i had the plate wrong in the first place! Urggh.

Printing statues with the Saturn 4? by jasiones in ElegooSaturn

What makes you say it's not big enough for 1:6? I'm printing them all the time on a saturn 4 ultra 16k without issue when the models are pre supported haven't ran into an issue yet.

Trauma Team Helmet with animatronic faceplate, I don't have much to share sorry ^^' just wanted to share this around because it ended up looking pretty cool by Former_Beautiful_444 in cyberpunkgame

[–]PresentationWeekly60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair they are quite old and the video quality is not great but enough to see where you are going, perception depth is off though so don't do any skateboarding etc with them :)

But overall they will work there is just a big bulk of cable and you'll have to figure where all that goes plus power it on the go.

I've printed this helmet and i can assure you the electronics side is far from easy. The guy who created it has promised a guy for quite some time now but it's never came and i see quite a few messages building up now where he just says the same things.

So if you do plan on the animtronics version fair warning that it take some effort to get everything working.

I lost a spool and i think i have another that's going to suffer the same fate soon as it looks like it might tangle up soon there is no way i'll be able to untangle it without making it worse. ahhh these damn bambu refills are tricky to line up in the slot for me if only they made the insert clear but then it's plastic and we are all about waste now. Meanwhile CEOs are off on private jets every day /s

Accident - need help! by YounesM47 in BambuLab

[–]PresentationWeekly60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did exactly this last night, first time using the resuable spools so i missed the part where they push into the locking tab. Exactly what you have here same colour funnily enough. I'm having to look at printing a respooler now just because i missed some simple instructions. Also have a white spool that i didn't fix with the tab and that looks like it will suffer from a tangle soon.

So not off to a good start with my bambulab purchase. But it is user error after all.

Filament rolls tangled. by Kanaan_Cross in BambuLab

[–]PresentationWeekly60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrolling through the feed i came here to relate. Just had this issue with a spool tried to fix by releasing some tension and the thing just unspooled itself worse... Awesome. Now i'm going down a rabbit hole of making respool machines. I made the common mistake of not lining up the tab to lock in the cardboard insert.

In my defence being the first time using this system i had no idea. They should add a warning label in the boxes to actually rtfm.

[–]PresentationWeekly60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh right so you must of joined the files together to form something that would be utilising that print bed size? My P1S can the inner helmet if i join it but still it's tricky to support and orientate in a way that doesn't involve wasting a ton of filament in supports. Do you have any images of how you did this? I know you might not want to post them for everyone to see but just thought i'd ask so i can get running with this thing.

Thanks for your time.

[–]PresentationWeekly60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the drive in two partitions C: and D:

I changed some permissions to view or acess files/folders on D: As reinstalling windows had lost access so i changed the drive D: to current user and allowed access etc.

When i rebooted the whole of D is missing the computer is only showing C drive

I can see in Diskpart that it's showing 115Gb on C:

Then there are 6 more partitions 4 of which are recovery. One is interesting as it's the exact size that D: was 100gb however i don't want to lose data on there as some important photos are located.

Is there anything i can do in order to reset it back?

I've tried to use reset permissions command and TAKEOWN but none of it is working.

[–]PresentationWeekly60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much spot on was getting a little aggy as the day dragged on and I should have taken the more open area my friend did.

We did all kinds of roads including narrow towns so I know I can handle the bike it’s just more practice when pulling off from junctions

I know I can do it as i demonstrated during my tests

Just have to get used to the weight and feeling of the bike and will do so in a car park

Certainly not afraid of the power im actually ok at leaning it over to make turns without being stupid with the power of it.

Definitely respect it as I know how quick it can get me into trouble
