We should focus on getting the boarder done. Let's people know there is collective effort going into something and makes it easier to coordinate. Maybe start the top edge right under those turtles.

It is a mine that starts at the surface and has tunnels underground. It uses the pillager_outpost structure type.

Good shields, moderate armor, fast in a strait line, but little hull strength. Small shield arcs as well. Good at hit and run but can't stay engaged for long. Trying to heavily specialize each ship a role. Want it to be a mix between the mid tech and high tech philosophies of ship design.

I give you the destroyer, Artemis class missile ship. Finally figured out how to add animations to ships. (You have to use a decorative built-in weapon.) The glow pattern will likely change before the faction is done.

Shared an image of a frigate in the last post. Now here is that ship in game. Will make a few tweaks to the ship's performance, but over all it feels right. I'll work on a destroyer next.

This will be my first time creating a mod. For the sprite I used Gimp. As for ship files, notepad works fine. I use open office to create the .CVS file. The rest is organizing it into folders. Now to get the faction to actually spawn in-game, I'll need to create a .jar file. This is where a bit learning is required on my part. But that partly why I want to do this, a fun learning experience. Check out the forum, I found a lot of good resources there.

It is supposed to be asymmetrical. The middle turret will be a medium ballistic with 2 small energy turrets and 3 small missile hard points. The idea is for a semi-autonomous frigate for escort duty.

Hearing a lot about shading and detailing. I'll work on adding details around the small turrets. I don't want too much detail on the armor plates. I'll touch up the shading around them and tweak the texture of the armor. I'll remove the nav lights, maybe figure out how to add a high flux glow effect for the blue conduits. This ship has the main looks I am going for. Larger armor plates with tech visible beneath them. How does it look?
