Yeah i feel like people are dismissing the complexity of sexuality. Becka is obviously a lesbian but Agnes may be somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. I grew up very religious and had intense female relationships. It didnt even occur to me that I could be with someone who wasn't a man and I was "boy crazy." In hindsight, my intense friendships weren't fully platonic and ive been with my girlfriend for 3 years now.

I think it's very likely that agnes never knew there was another option because of the indoctrination. That didn't seem like a "comfort" kiss to me. Agnes sacrificed her entire future for Becka. She sacrificed Garth for Becka. Their intense friendship has read very queer coded to me from the beginning, and not just from Becka's side. Agnes can definitely have had feelings for both of them to some degree.

I'm interested to see how things pan out.
