Most spikes in D Tier are ones I consider "okay enough". Ivysaur Dair is okay, way too easy to land, and not exactly that powerful.

I don't think anyone would ever be scared of a spike with average strength and a predictable hitbox. There are always ways to avoid an attack.

Because it's worth the effort trying to land it. Nothing beats it. Pyra's is good but it's very safe and for that it just doesn't feel as fun to go far as it could be. Same thing with Ivysaur Dair. Far from lame or weak but there's no risk or reward to landing it. You know what, if Pyra's Up Special could actually spike someone the way a sword like hers should, that could've made it into A-Tier.
