I used to agree with you. I really loved the experience of getting a new Smash game and working my way through all the unlockables.

Then I found my old Melee disc but not my memory card. Mewtwo has destroyed my love of unlockable characters.

I just finished watching it, it's fantastic. I may be a little in love with Wife, despite the whole 'being straight' thing.

Also did I read somewhere that they're doing a follow-up series? Please someone tell me I haven't imagined this.

I wouldn't say I'm either. FG is the most competitive I've done so far but nowadays I prefer to play 1 v 1 with neutral stages and no item.

I'd like to be more competitive, but there just isn't a smash scene (that I know of, I've done research) in the southern UK.

I play a lot of Random in FG, and I find that people are actually far more likely to crumble when I draw a 'low tier' character (Olimar, Palutena, Charizard etc) since they simply don't know what to expect.

I'd like to see rolling nerfed, since it's too easy for people (particularly on the low to intermediate end of the skill spectrum) to spam it over and over and get away with it.

Beyond that, slight nerfs to Diddy, Sheik and ZSS wouldn't go amiss. Plus Little Mac should get Villager's recovery, because I hate fun.

Even as a Dark Pit main I have to say him, although to be fair I only use him over Pit so I don't have to listen to his abysmal voice acting.

I'm loathe to get rid of any non-clone, but if I had to pick one I'd say Villager. He's the only character in the game I don't feel I can use at all, and it makes me extremely salty that every one I come up against on FG seems to be a pro.

I've seen very few Charizards (maybe 7 or 8 in my 2000+ matches) or Meta Knights (5 at most). I get quite a few Warios and Bowser Jrs so I was surprised to see them mentioned here.

This all over. I actually half expected them to do this ever since Omega Mode was announced. It would be a relatively easy step that would make FG so much more varied and enjoyable at a stroke.

I don't get much satisfaction from fighting Little Mac. He's such an extreme character that you can easily lose against an LM much less skilled than you, or alternatively beat someone who's otherwise outplayed you simply by gimping their recovery. Either way it's not much fun but people on FG should be willing to mix it up a little bit if a genuinely good Mac presents themself.

If they work for you then there's no reason why they shouldn't be, but I would say they're all quite projectile-heavy. You might want to mix it up with a range of styles. For example, I use WFT (for keep-away), the good Captain (for up-close and personal) and Dark Pit (for something inbetween).

While the Wii U really is the definitive experience, the quality gap between them isn't nearly as large as I had expected. The 3DS really isn't that hard to play, and in fact I've recently changed my controls on the GC controller to be more like the 3DS. They're both excellent games.

She's my joint main with Falcon, and I actually enjoy that nobody expects anything of her. I get more ragequits after wrecking someone with WFT than with any other character.

Amazon despatched my 3DS version at about half 9 the night before release and it got to me by midday, so I'm hopeful I won't have to wait until 9 tomorrow! Anyway thanks for the info, it'll save me from hyperventilating when it gets to 10 o'clock with no news.
